Re: Pro tip #6636

If my tool chest wasn’t already in storage I’d have some graphite ready to roll. Luckily I’m still going through my rc stuff as it’s the most difficult to sort and subsequently part with. 😉

Pro tip #6636

When you are moving and have either packed away or sold every lubricant you had in the house (including the bedroom ones), diff grease makes squeaky hinges glide like new. 🤣

Re: Long time MIA

So the move is on and I will be going through my stockpiles soon. I think I'll be throwing up some lots very soon- the Hotshot collection, the Grasshopper/Hornet hodgepodge, maybe the Mystery Machine LunchBox, a brushed motor and lathe lot, some RC10 goodies, and some random electronics. I think I'l...

Long time MIA

Hey guys- I've been out of rc for a while now. All my old build posts here with the kids are probably junk with the PhotoBucket BS, as are all my scans of parts lists and tire charts. My daughter is now married and my son has moved out with his girlfriend so I started going through all my stuff. My ...

Re: Hot Trick Optima 'Trinity Car'

Hey guys- it's been a very long time since I've been on here but I spotted this listed locally and wondering if it's the Hot Trick Optima missing a top plate? Maybe with truck tires? I was considering grabbing it. Thanks! hot trick 2.jpg hot trick.jpg EDIT: missed it! Oh well... Still LMK if that's ...

Re: SHY's Tamiya B.A.R. Honda Hotshot Evolution

Can I ask where you got the red front upper hinge pin brace from? I am just about to get hold of my 1st Tamiya 4wd after many years racing, and I am inspired by your work. I want to use the car to race occasionally, so it needs to be strong. Thanks :D FWIW CRP 1650 was the original upper a-arm brac...

Re: WHEN THINGS HAVE HAPPENED AT THE RIGHT TIME

I brew with a few friends and over the summer picked up a larger dorm fridge for $20. It was listed as $50 but the guy still had it on the day he was moving so he messaged me & I got a deal (right time #1). Well, two weeks ago it died but luckily I only had a handful of beers left. So the search...

Re: 2014 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS • SEPT 5-7TH - WOLCOTT HO

I was excited seeing the outdoor venue the past couple years and was hoping to make it there this year. Looks like it's back to the indoor hardpacked surface again?
Always a great event though!

1999... could be vintage!
Even The Thing had cracks all over him & he was tough as nails!
It's all in the wording of the ad. 8)

Almost forgot... congrats on the new car. Our newest vehicle is over 2 years now and it's lost that new car smell.

Ooooooo.... you are making me want to dig out my Hotshot boxes now. :D
Those are really nice looking knuckles. Take some photos of your 'shot on blocks when you are done! 8)

Re: Hopped up Hotshot

Are the wheels Pargu's? I have a set of his (on Hotshot below), but I also have some old Gisom ones as well. The Gisom ones were standard rear width but the fronts have a deeper negative offset so you can fit rear tires on the front suspension and there is no binding. It's an interesting take from b...

There is a facebook page for it and it is listed at imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2437612/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
I am not sure where we could get a copy-- Redbox doesn't have it. ;)

Build it and while you are at it start a build thread with photos.
By the time you are finished you'll have BST access and you can start talking about offers.

Re: Bolink Invader MT - Stadium Truck

The rears (with KK rims) that I have look the same... part number is 9740.
Do the fronts on the Bolink have a flat face on the inside of the tire? I always thought that was so odd on the AJs.

Here's the first Creeper I built: http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s94/civilguy/Venom%20Creeper/CIMG4330.jpg A friend painted the body (yep, all paint) and now it's now my son's. I built a second one for my daughter and a different guy painted this body for it: http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/s...
