Re: One thread for all my junk...
I love it! Mildly reminds me of a Tamiya of sorts. Did you also increase the front kickup? The front brace looks a little short. How did you decide to use the mixture of parts that you did? Kickup is the same as far as I can remember. I see that I did some filing or something on the top brace, but ...

Re: One thread for all my junk...
Decided to actually run one of my vintage RC10s and selected an RC10 Graphite team car (6036?). I mostly used a hard pack setup for the Worlds car that I found on the Internets. Electronics included a Reedy motor, 2s lipo, modern TX/RX (Spektrum stuff), a heli head servo, and the very best ESC the o...

Re: One thread for all my junk...
Here's my RPM car. I think these are fairly common (on here)? Getting this together was mostly luck. The chassis kit was in a bulk buy auction and couldn't even be seen in the auction pics. Quite a nice surprise when that was in box! The rest was from random stuff. Even bits I had from the 90s. For ...

Re: One thread for all my junk...
Here's an afternoon project from many years ago... I took 2x Losi XX chassis and cut one near the back of the battery tray area and cut the other near the front. I then glued both long pieces together and both short pieces together. I made a cheesy drag car with the long chassis (will show it later)...

Re: Help me ID the vintage of this RC10
Thanks for the sweet replies. Bakauata, I read that thread after I started this one. But for some reason about 3/4 of the pics didn't show. Now they do, though. In that thread I see there is at least 1 pic of the front tires that came with my kit, but didn't realize there was any mention of them spe...

Help me ID the vintage of this RC10
Howdy, This was the first kit I bought when I thought it would be cool to buy an old kit. I bought it in 2001 or 2002 on eBay. Was MIB. I built it. This is the exact car that has been on Wikipedia's Associated Electrics and RC10 (now defunct) pages since Jan 2007 when some jackwagon (RyanHThompson) ...

Re: One thread for all my junk...
Howdy. I got an email that someone replied to this thread. Wow, it was cool to read a vintage thread about vintage RC stuff :D Amazingly I still have everything I have put in this thread. Was all committed to selling it and then... well I keep enjoying taking all these kits out of the cabinets they ...

Re: One thread for all my junk...
I previously had access to BST. Even have PMs confirming it. Doesn't seem I do now.
Probably a good thing. Ha. I'd probably buy stuff instead of sell

Re: One thread for all my junk...
Hey all. It looks like most of my links and pics work again. Hope to be posting a few projects I have completed since 2008 (!). Man time flies. Holy crap. As well, I will be selling most of my collection. I really just have too much stuff. An old RC buddy came over a few weekends ago and we built up...

Re: How does a 2 speed transmission work?
I owned (and still have) the HPI 2-speed for both Losi and AE. They didn't work off road at all. Every jump resulted in a shift and managing attitude was very problematic. Also, the thing is shoeless. It is snap engagement. No clutching at all. Because of the low traction nature of dirt, predicting ...

Re: Vintage ad: A&L chassis kits for the RC10
I have since built this A&L kit. The poor quality comments are now only quasi-true. It just took more than a passing glance at the manual to assemble.
How many of the graphite kits are out there? Seems most were fiberglass?

Re: One thread for all my junk...
The bar is pretty high around these parts :D I posted most of my best junk and then moved on. I am only into vintage stuff because I have some of it. I did a little collecting, but quite a bit of what I have has been raced or bashed at some point and not terribly camera worthy. And now I am pretty i...
