Thank you so much! It's amazing that such quality photo sets emerges after so long. This must be the best one from the '85 Worlds that I have seen to date. Thank you for sharing.

Kyosho/Atsuhiro Ohno WC'87 spec Torpedo Optima It is now, to the day, 30 years since the 1/10th Off-road World Championships in Romsey, UK. We all know that Masami Hirosaka won the 4WD class with his Schumacher CAT XLS (back then just called the CAT XL). A little bit down the table we find Japanese ...

Re: Optima Mid and Turbo Optima Mid Differences

Re: Mugen Manx

Great info Dan, I love this stuff! Here is the original "Ran.co-One" body, designed by Tadashi Kurihara of Proto Design Co. for Air Supply. Tadashi Kurihara also designed most (maybe all?) of the Marui cars, as well as the Kyosho Sand Skipper series, Mr. & Miss Wheelie and the body for...

Re: Mugen Manx

Sorry for commenting on such an old post, but I find it interesting that both Panda and Mugen cloned the Air Supply "Ran.co One" body for the Cyclone and Manx.

Re: Let's talk Triumph

It was kind of funny how they tried selling the pro-x gearbox design as a novelty while the losi jrx2 used the same principles years before. The Pro-X was designed by ex-Losi guys, hired by Kyosho to make the "perfect" buggy. Let's just say they re-employed Japanese Auto Model shortly aft...
