Re: Tamiya Hilux Resto/Repair with TRX Tranny
Thanks guys I haven't run it yet, I need a radio & rec for it. One other thing, the decals do not want to stay down where the body curves around the wheel well area, I'd hate to run it and have the decals fill with dirt and sand. I might run it with the old body on it even thou I really want to ...

Tamiya Hilux Resto/Repair with TRX Tranny
I have what was once a Tamiya King Cab but the rear axle snapped and the drive hub had stripped out. The stock replacement parts, if you could even find them, were so expensive to replace that I decided to do a tranny swap with what I had laying around for parts. Re: TRX Tranny Into Tamiya King Cab

The rear arms are from a Traxxas Rustler, of course they were too long so I drilled new holes for the rear carriers and cut off the excess.

Re: TRX Tranny Into Tamiya King Cab
Thanks, I'll update with pics of securing the tranny to the top of the chassis. I'm pretty happy with it so far, considering everything I've changed so far, it still looks like a King Cab and not a total hack job.

TRX Tranny Into Tamiya King Cab
I have a Tamiya King Cab that I use as a runner every now and then, but on the last outing it stripped the splines on the wheel hex and axle. For a fix I drilled and tapped a 3mm hole thru the hex and axle, this held up for awhile until eventually the axle finally broke. The limited availability and...

Re: MIP 4WD kit Sells for $979 !!!
Did you buy that kit new back in 1992? How much did these kits sell for back when they were still in production?
