Re: Jrx-Pro Runner

I debated because I have the original Carbon Fiber. I ultimately decided that the aluminum will withstand more punishment if something happens, they're not pristine anyway and I'd be more bothered breaking the OG carbon towers than these unknown ones.

Jrx-Pro Runner

So I want to get my son into racing so I'm letting him take my 22. I decided to break out my parts bin, pick up what I'm missing from various sources and see if I could build a good runner. I'm happy with the progress. I grabbed an older body. It fits width wise, but is cut short near the back, but ...

Re: Got my Big Brute Running Again! But Gearbox Still Having Binding Issues.....

I used to have a usa-1 and had the same issue. It was really frustrating. What I ended up doing was to get metal tubes and used them as a support tubes for the motor mount screws inside the tranny case. I JB welded the tubes to one side. It took away the flex in the case I wish I could remember the ...

Yes, their sizing and design is almost identical to the JRX-Pro's

Re: JRX2 Aluminum Shock Towers?

Just got the buggy tonight, haven't had time to really strip it down, but here are a couple shots of the towers. They look finished. JRX2 Aluminum Shock Towers?

I just purchased a JRX2 from someone. I'm curious because it appears that the front and rear shock towers are actually aluminum and not home made. Does anyone know if A&L or Hot Trick produced aluminum shock towers? When I have it in hand, I'll post pics.

Re: Ten scbe converted to 6s, need shock recomdations

I would look at the Losi 8ight buggy shocks. I haven't looked but the length of the shocks should be the same or very close.

Re: Junior X22-Pro racer build...revised

I'm going to make something out of 1/4" square tubing to narrow up the front. I'm not worried about adding weight to the front end because I always had to add weight to the front ends of the JRX line anyway.

Re: Junior X22-Pro racer build...revised

These fronts are zero offset already. Does the 22 share the same offset as the 4wd?

Re: Junior X22-Pro racer build...revised

Yes and I didn't measure the overall width. I knew I missed something... I didn't check the dimensions to make sure it fits in the box. I'll check tonight. I know the arms are a little wider than JRX2 arms. If push comes to shove...maybe I'll try and fab a new front bulkhead similar to the H...

Junior X22-Pro racer build...revised

So I had asked about a slipper clutch, and I'm still working on that one, but this is what I have so far. I'll call it a Junior X22 Pro. I took a Losi Junior 2 chassis, Jrx2 LRM transmission and shock towers, H-arm rear arms, Losi 22 front suspension, 12mm hex rears to use modern tires, JRX-Pro stee...

Re: LXT body fitment

Because they're cheap on ebay ($14.97 delivered) I picked up a XXXT body to try. Using the two LXT mounts in the front and the singular mount on the shock tower in the rear, it fits nice. Gonna get the body painted up and I'll post pics.
