Re: Mardave Meteor prototype/press car
I remember an advert in Radio Race Car showing this Car before it was released and it had a clear lexan shell that covered the gearbox RC10 style, have you seen this. Is that aluminium shock mount exactly the same size as the red moulded one

Re: Mardave Meteor prototype/press car
Have you finished restoring this Meteor. If it looks as good as the other cars you've done it should be worth seeing.

I have an unbuilt X-Factoty X6sqared Ellis Stafford one of only about 20 kits that were made after his BRCA national championships wins. Unfortunately I don't know how to put pics on here.

I have always wondered what the modifications looked like on these Cougar prototypes pre Cougar 2. Thanks for posting these pictures and I can't wait to see your car build finished

Re: Team Losi XX Motor Guard Re-Finishing
In the 90s when I raced a XX I would just sand them with wet and dry so that it looked nice and shiny like the light weight version

Re: Mardave Meteor prototype/press car
Thanks for posting these photos of the prototype Meteor. I have an early Meteor with small wheels and mechanical speed control that would look good in box art colours. That blue front bumper looks good

Did you get to race this car? If it goes as well as it looks you must have been happy after all the work you put into it.

Re: SACS system
From what I remember of my cougar 2000 with SACS it had good on power steering, but when you let off power at the apex of the turn it didn't tighten it's line. If you don't drive a smooth line into the corner it will go wider then you want it to.
