I believe the kit to be authentic. Scratches, little digs, etc.. are very common under the anno finish. It's even common to have new unused tubs with raw aluminum showing on the rear of the tub, maybe excess flash removed. Price is high, but not out of line with the Japanese boxed cars. Only one I'v...

I remember a thread from awhile back, maybe 8 years ago, I can't find it. The auther used rit dye in boiling water, then baked it in his kitchen oven. The finish looked factory from the pic's. I remember wondering how durable the finish would be though!
