Vintage 1/8 white bumpers - material?

On mid 1980s vintage 1/8 cars in particular (on or off road, such as PB, Siccom, Robbe etc) you often had cars with white plastic bumpers. Often it was simply a flat or bent sheet of white plastic, of around 3mm thickness. Clearly this material had to be very tough. Does anyone have an idea of what ...

Re: COUNTING CARS:)

You guys have issues! Hundred of cars... what the actual F! My LHS back in the day had less stock  I must admit I have broken my rules recently and my hoarding has really got out of hand. I am embarrassed to let you know I now own a second car. Yes I need to have a word with myself and ...

Great work! I love the part where the cars jump right in front of the camera. That must have taken a few attempts to get perfect!

Re: Fibrelyte tubs no more

Essentially it boiled down to FL not making proper moulds at all. They did not have a male and female mould and tons of pressure or any kind of quality control. They had a pile of soggy cf in a bag with a vacuum attached to it. Not quite the "mould" as they falsely advertised. Then to add ...

Re: Fibrelyte tubs no more

I had two. I waited over four months also. The finish was the worst I have ever seen on any rc related product - by far. Mine had cracks, lumps, shoddy cut outs, even random loose cf strands dumped in the middle of the textured weave. The customer service I had from them was effectively... "tou...

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit

Lonestar, all I did was summarise what has happened... one single post in this massive thread. I did not insult your mother. Just an observation on a cheap toy car. Echoing others comments already posted about shoddy QC. Get some perspective and get over it. Over and out.

/End.

Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit

I have to say I built three brand new old school USA stealth transmissions and all of them went together 100% perfect first time. (My 1986 1/8 buggy also goes together perfectly). So the whole "this is 30 years old" argument is nonsense. Fast forward all these decades of progress in techno...

Re: 260 km ! Faster than Nicky Hayden

It's amazing what a difference the vehicle makes. In my Mercedes CLS @ 160mph I could go to sleep. 145mph in my old Elise 111R with the roof down was much more noticable. On a bike it must be madness.
