Re: Carbon Graphite Chassis Refurb

back when I redid my graphite chassis, I filled up the scratches uses lots of layers of clear paint. like a dozen or so layers. I emptied a 16oz can on the chassis. so far nothing has penetrated the clear coat deep enough to touch the chassis.

Re: Why isnt anyone 3d printing RC10DS WHEEL CENTERS?

im guessing not many people have the DS, i think it wouldnt take much effort to create them though. just takes a little effort to design a few a connect together in a runner for a single piece print. would probably require extra work after ordering to get a truely smooth finish and the color you want.

Re: Castle Sidewinder ESC issue

the sidewinder 3 is primarily able to handle 3s in buggies. in trucks where the weight can be a chunk more, you usually need to dial back the gears a lot.

Re: Castle Sidewinder ESC issue

I had an odd issue with mine a few years back, what it boiled down to was I had my antenna too close to the other electronics. but yea, steering and throttle would get messed up when it was too close.

Re: WHAT Is Wanted?

when it came to alloy gear covers, there were really only 2 that ever fit the rc10 that I found. both were for the b4 so they didnt bolt on perfectly and have been discontinued for a while now. ive only been asked about the one I got once or twice so i dont know how much demand there would be. I'm c...

Re: Graphite Chassis Tarnish Removal.

when I spruced up my graphite, I did 1k, 3k, 5k wet sands on mine to get the difference in look out. add a bead of CA glue all around the edges too. I also clear coated mine but that is optional for you.

Re: Gold themed USA Andy Jacobson "renegade" buggy build.

unless he does something different, I imagine he'll do something like I did with my alloy build and use some inboard steering knuckles from the sc10. some anodizing might have to happen though.

Re: Dmat's Nix91 + ten4 build

work has picked up as of late so im only working on this during the weekends. I sent to transmission case to shapeways to do a double check on my spacing so I'll know everything fits. Once I know the spacing is good, I'll make the front case and design a top deck that works. I'm thinking I might use...
