Hmmm - well 72mph and the first signs of trans problems! However, it didn't help that I tried to hold the thing still while trying to heat up the tires. DOH. They stuck better than I expected and I heard some belt slippage and clicking. It was fine after that but this along with multiple speed runs...

Alec wrote a post here long ago and explained how to tighten up the belt for stronger motors. No pics of his but my friend is going fast with his Monster Racer. He's swapped in a transmission/diff from a traxxas car - but recently picked up the stealth conversion from ebay. His has a sassy chassis and we 3d printed a custom front bulkhead so he could mount the battery up front for less wheel...

This was the setup I used to run and I had no clearance problems with a body - even without trimming the front tower.
