Just saw one of these for sale. Is this a slipper conversion?

I have an old bosscat that I have done some major upgrades on. It has the procat slipper on it now. But I did have the buds slipper clutch at one time and I believe I gave it to a friend for use on his car some time ago. It was a very good unit but...
Greetings,
I've looked at the instruction manual online but I can't seem to find a template for bending the front anti roll bar. Can somebody point me in the right direction please? The only pic I can find is this one but it doesn't look to helpful...

Pretty sure anti-roll bar never changed, until Bosscat came along and deleted it.
Ok, thanks
Hi All,
I'm planning to enter a vintage race meet later in the summer and have decided the car I want to enter into the pre '88 class is an XLS. I used to race one with a few mods back in the day, but really didn't know what I was doing then, so now...
So a fellow club member turned up one race night with this rather sorry looking Cougar1 - knowing that I like restoring/rebuilding old racers, he said that if I could find a use for it then I could have it FOC.... how could I refuse!
On getting...

Just managed to get my hand on a nice job lot of Cougar and Topcat parts including a Club 10 complete and some MMS bits.
Once received I will gather everything I have and see what I can build. I intend to build this for racing and not shelfing!...
I am rebuilding my old Bosscat. I need some diff. pulleys, front and rear. And the layshaft pulley.
Does anybody know where to get these items, either plastic or preferably aluminium? Perhaps something from another schumacher model?

I got a pair of alloy ujs, now to get a shell and paint it.
When I first started racing, 4wd in my eyes were the ultimate class, so the cars that I most desired (but could never afford to buy or run) were CATS, Optimas & Yokomos, during that first year or so racing at my local club, the venerable CAT XLS was...
I brought mine back from England about a year ago - thanks FB for the reminder! Finally it is running and I am having some fun with it. So much so I bought a 2nd on eBay and got that tricked out! The plan is...

Those are pretty cool, I also like the simplicity of that chassis. But someone put the headlight stickers on wrong on one of those bodies...probably the front one, it looks like it's gazing skyward.
The only shuie Ive got is a cat 3000. Contemplating getting rid of it. Im wondering if they were a successful racer,, did any big names run them? Win any big races?

Thanks guys. Not sure if I will dive head first into Schumacher,,, Im still caught up in Kyosho Yokomo,, cant seem to get free from them!
I got this in a bundle of Losi JRX2 parts from a mate.... there were a few odd Schumacher parts too including this.
Looks to be tricky to adjust??

What can I say that hasnt already been said, your car looks totally stunning. I get a chill down my spine everytime I see my tub on a work of art like your car. Thanks for making my day.
So my wife picked this car up for 15$ yesterday at a local auction, it came from an unpaid storage locker and no other RC parts or boxes
were found with it. It appears to have been run maybe a handful if times. There are no scratches that I can see...

Your not going to get an estimate of value here. Its a rule about no such topics except in the BST section. Keeps the information forums cleaner.
Well, here is the car I picked up a couple of weeks ago. It appears to be a Procat, with several Bosscat production and pre-production parts. It has a custom CF/Kevlar chassis, as well as some modified molded parts -e.g. pre-production molded pieces...

A repro box art car is here:
The stickers with the kit were just a selection of Schumacher logos, but there is a repro set available in ebay to create the box art.
just got this one from peakey. here is a little info from him:
Here for sale is a prototype asymmetric Bosscat chassis that would possibly have been run by a team driver in the mid 90's, before they made the carbon ones.
It's been through...

I am looking for a replacement rear driveshaft (part #U1915) or alternatives for a CAT '98 runner. Replacements seem to be difficult to obtain though this part (along with U2213) was used on various models (CAT 2000 SE, CAT 3000, and Fireblade...

An explanation regarding alternative driveshafts (and hexes) can be found at the following links. Thank you to Discount RC Store, Incredible_Serious, MattW on the Schumacher forum, and Schumacher for their help along the way.
Thanks to my good Friend Chris I have finally got hold of one of the rarest and yet most successful 1/12 pan cars and a Pioneer in engineering excellence.

Thanks very much. Yes it's really been a hard search to get a c car. Very happy to have finally gotten my hands on this mint example.
Merry Christmas
I'm in the process of restoring an old Schumacher CAT XLS and I'm missing the whole rear end (diff, shocks wishbones etc). I found a diff case on eBay but I'm unsure as to which model the diff case belongs to.
I've attached some...

I the XLS and later Procat had side plates with both the upper and lower holes in, true original SWB CAT had plates with just the upper ones in. So yours Dan maybe an early XLS that they just put the lower holes that was needed in?
Was just thinking. Back in the day, schumacher started out with fibreglass chassis, right? I'm thinking of the C-Car, the CAT and so on. And then comes the topcat with an alloy tub, which is kept until the cougar 2000 arrives with a carbon fibre...

Yes, that's mine. 8)
Schumacher started making ball differentials as a hop up for Mardave chassis.
As we raced on the polished wood floors in sports halls you needed a chassis that would generate a lot of grip. Neal Francis dominated the UK...
had these custom anodised alloys made to fit my procat shelf queen.

Love the xls did you ever get a wing on it? And that Procat is a great car as it is but the problem I see is those shocks won't look anygood on an XLS I can give them a good home :D 8)

Okay, I grabbed my shock bag today, looking for some BossCat shocks to pass on to someone. Looking under everything else, I found this haul:

- One pack of U2297 Threaded shock...

Thank you for the response. At this point I think the bobbins must be snapped into the alloy seal housings (U1818) like the plastic versions (U1310) . Otherwise the shocks leak. The bobbins snapped right into the alloy housings upon reassembling the...
I’m posting on behalf of my husband for a bit of advice please.

Luke,
Could be Jons but dont recall him using that colour scheme on any of his cars, and raced him at most Welsh championship events. Great find if it is. Also hope you still have your Lazer.
I picked up this car from a fellow member earlier this year. The car's made up of different parts (cat XLS, pro cat, boss cat) which made it difficult to identify the base model. After looking thorough the Schumacher section, I was able to determine...
