Anyone know where I can find a clear Cougar 2000 or a C2000 95 team body and undertray.
I know the C2000's are tough to come by. Will any of the Fireblade series body/undertrays fit as a last resort?

I got a NIP Cougar 2000 body set, together with a couple other cougar parts, from my recent LHS old parts hunting . I'm still unsure why I bought it  , I've never had any Schumacher car ever. It's a long shot, but I'm hoping to stumble on a...

Thanks Jason think your right but i think they must be different types or versions of fireblade i know one or two of them are fireblade 2000 not sure on the others though, some look strange to me,
Like most of us here we all have that one car we wanted when we were younger...for me it was the Schumacher CAT. When I first laid eyes on one in a magazine I said to myself I had to get one....till I found out how expensive they were....

 uzzi, this is AWESOME, love the shirt. Congrats. :D
So I was able to pick up a pair of these. One new build with box and the other is a runner. What info do people have on these? Parts availability? I really just wanted the New Build but will need to find a body. Any help on info about this car or...

Apparently you can't get the EVO II Decals anymore. So not really a box art replica but I still like how it came out. Onto the shelf it goes!
Well it seems like Im still not over my Schumacher obsession as this last build has been on my mind for a while now.
The idea was to put together a 2WD for vintage racing here in Australia that complies closer to the age cut off than that of my...
WOW. I have not always had the greatest relationship with these guys but would never wish ill will on them. A real shame. I wish all those guys the best.

Dang no Yokomo, Schumacher and Durango importer, what's left in US? Plastic Chinese stuffs?
As the tital says here are a set of alloys for me schuy cars.
Ive been on the search for these for many years, just missed out on a set on tc last year, and saw these on a hopped up cougar on ebay.
So i thought what the hell i asked him if he would...
Time to rebuild this thing. Haven't used it in atleast 12 years. Going to be running it in mod class at the next vintage meet at Castle Hill (Sydney) in a couple of months..
I got this one brand new in 1993, it's my first ever race car. It's the...

Yeah did you find out if the 2.2 inch rims are still available new?
I've got another Cougar I might put a Topcat body on, wanna keep this one as close to how I used to race it as possible.
Not being too terribly familiar with this brand so I could use some help identifying this rig. I grabbed it off craigslist yesterday along with an enourmous pile of swag. Most of what I got is in the pictures. There was also a small pile of useful...

They are pretty fun to throw around a track though, with the front wheels flopping around on that single ball bearing, and the front tyres rubbing on the body whenever you turn.
There is/was a twin ball bearing front hub upgrade...... have a...
Does anyone know or can anyone provide a pic of the decals/stickers that came with either the SWB or LWB Cat kits? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Awesome! Love the Nissan and Toyota stuff. Count me in for those for sure.
Been looking for a nice Topcat for a while, and couldn't resist. Composite Craft chassis.
All is new with exception of the wheels and front tires. Polished Kyosho gold shocks.
Question to the Schuey guys here, what...

Im glad everyone likes this example of what I consider to be one of Schumacher's sweetest looking buggies. While the design left it behind on the race track back in the day the guys who designed it were definately looking to turn heads (and I...
Just picked up this CAT and parts in a vintage lot purchase. I have always liked these buggies, just have never owned one. Looking for some help from you experts out there on which version this is. From what I understand there are 3 versions of the...

Hee hee - didn't know you could buy alu belt covers! We used to make ours out of old biscuit tins!
Whatever the original owner was doing, he was definitely on a mission - there's a spare XLS bumper (looks unused) and some front shock towers (with...
I need to get hold of more of the stainless steel threaded studs which are used for the Schumacher CAT SWB/XL/XLSs? They are typically of the following sizes: M3 x 12, M3 x 24, M3 x 35 and M3 x45.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of these? Any...

For the shortest stud you could see if you can find some 12x3mm set screws (or grub screws) if they were slightly shorter it will not matter as long as more than half the ball connecter is threaded through.
Looking back (and drooling!) over the pictures of these vintage Schumachers made me think the other day; I have a Cat SX now, and can't help thinking that it's reached that level of over-engineering that we used to laugh at when people turned up at...

I guess it's just the look of all the belts and pulleys... I haven't raced in almost 20 years so technology has moved on somewhat. 8)
I guess I've turned into that old man who when I was younger I always envied because he had all the gear but no...
As i said i was waiting for this shell to arrive and this morning xmas was here again.
Its not as good as i thought or advertised but its new and i think it look awsome.
Ive put it onto one of my works models not the best of the two as its not got...
Hi guys i was trying to order bodyshells for my cougar 2000 & Cat 2000 EC, some of the body shells are called * Laydown * ?!?!? What does this term mean ??
Thanks

AHHHHHH HAA !! its ok guys, found out, Lay down shocks are the difference lol
Ive been trying to drive around the problem of a Topcat's inability to steer through tight sections of the race track. I had tried tyres, extra toe out and a narrower front end, the steering mod kit and a couple of other things but nothing made the...

The author was desapointed regarding Top Cat racer's perf. Due to a front lazy behaviour,
Yeah no doubt the Topcat's front suspension is not the cars strongest atribute. Personaly I think its the 'ratio' of the rocker arms that make for a weak...
Here's a couple of pics from my new built Top Cat painted just like the box-art scheme. Gotta love the Top Cat, it was my second real racing car 8)

Jeremy I'll have to get some pics of my current set up and post the particlars that helped me get the Topcat to steer. Now it steers just as good as a Cougar2. :D
Would anyone mind telling me this, and is it possible to create a SWB from an XLS, (and a custom made shorter chassis)
Also would an XLS body fit a SWB if cut down?
Thankyou

Hi! This is my first post since joining up - just bought myself a new Cat SX and am now overcome by a flood of nostalgia! I'm a bit surprised nobody else has replied to this question given the serious depth of knowledge here!
Here are some pics of my new built Cougar 1. It started out as a normal Cougar build but took on a life of its own. It is made up mostly from NIP parts collected over time. All aluminium parts including the custom battery strap, rear...
Does anyone out there know if the universal's from the Cat SX would fit a Fireblade? Maybe the rear hubs/bearings too? Anyone know of a steel outdrive set for the Fireblade? I'd still use the blade drive shafts but it'd be nice to have...

Just looking for alternatives for when they wear out ;)
I guess I can't take credit for this being restored, as it was only missing a few parts. But nonetheless, I dug out those missing parts and finished it up. I really need to tear it apart a bit as there is some slight dust over all the black...

Realy nice to see you ended up with such a nice old Schuey. Ive been friends with Chad for years and he's always been a super guy to deal with aswell. Do you think you'll ever run one of your CATs Jay?
In my quest for obtaining CAT parts, can anyone advise me on where to get hold of spare screws, nuts, etc for the CAT (SWB through to XLS)?
Thanks.

When I built my XL BITD I replaced those cursed tap head screws with cap head screws. Not original but I just couldn't keep taking that car apart with my flat head screw driver! I chided Cecil Schumacher for that at a race in Florida so many years...
I am the new owner of a Bosscat works thanks to chiprandall!
I was wondering what type shock cartridge originally came on this car, the white plastic or the purple aluminum?
Last post
It was a LATER option actually, as the Bosscat predates the 2000 series of cars. The white ones were first, then there were grey molded units, and about thet same time came the rebuildable purple alloy units. I stopped using the Shumacher units when...
Need some help as I'm having a good old fashioned brain cramp! Been a while since I had my last Cougar 2000, what type of wheel hubs are on the rear of the buggy? Are they the Cat style or the larger press fit Hex adapters?
Last post
Jeroen,
I have lots of Schuey wheels I would like to use. The truck came with the hex for HPI wheels but those wheels are long gone.
...and I accepted her proposal! Huge impulse buy, I'd always wanted one of these and the price seemed fair to me considering all that comes with the car. I don't know anything about Schumachers but I always wanted one. Do you think my wife...

Can anyone tell me whether the parts for the Schumacher Cat, Cat XL and Cat XLS are the same? Also, there appear to be various parts listed on EBAY with part numbers beginning with U. Does anyone know whether I can locate a list which sets out which...

Obvioulsy, that's an open invitation to anyone who can help me out with getting hold of NIP parts or a NIB kit.....
I have what started life as a Topcat but soon became a Cougar(once the parts for the front end became available). My dad sent me to the LHS back in 1989-90(?) whenever the JRX2 started beating up on our poor RC10's to get the new LOSI and when I saw...
When i first saw these images i was hooked. Taken from the May 92 'Radio Control Car Action' magazine's article on the Schumacher cougar2. Although I saw few of these on the track back in the day, after seeing these pics i knew i needed to have one....

FYI: theres a C2 team in nice shape on evilbay right now. Last day on it.
Will the Bosscat front hub carriers fit a Pro-cat?
Last post
Nope. More like the Procat is a pimped up XLS, & Bosscat is a completely new car. There are very few things common between the Bosscat & Procat, but many parts can be retrofitted to the Procat.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to fit a slipper to these? From memory, I am sure that the xls I have has a MMS layshaft so would it be possible to fit a slipper? I am not sure if it has the original layshaft on it as I bought it 2nd hand years...

Very interesting photos - I can see the prototype CAT has three piece wheels, a different brace for the rear suspension on the back of the gearbox ....
