Put an add on the Wanted board but figure I ought to try the Yoke expertise here too.
After some tyres to fit 45mm / 1.7 diameter wheels to replace the lovely silver ones currently on my RPS SE  Anyone know of any alternative makes that...

I just scored an old yoke WED Iv been looking for one for a long time its a great story. My question here, is there a good stash of parts any where, or a secret person i can contact for some items.
I've been wondering what is a good oil to use on all the black hardware on the YZ10 to protect from rust.
Also, Would acetone harm the metal diff outdrives. I want to remove some residual CA glue a previous owner used to glue the...

i use good old wd40 in a small container with a small artists paint brush to oil all the metal on my yokes. if it's blackand metal i give it a coat :)
i would of thought glue would come off metal easy.
This one's got me stuck, but someone must know the answer:
ZC103U (moulded on back) - Yokomo Undertray? Looks like it's for a Dogfighter / YZ-10, but it's different from all my original Yoke buggy undertrays....
hi guys . i was gona sell this buggy but i carnt let it go so if you were interested sorry. is there any one using brushless and lipo in one of these im thinking about it but not sure it would take it . ive put new belts in and was thinking of a...
So I was searching on craigslist and found a $60 dollar gem! The YZ-10 I have always been looking for! I plan to restore it into a shelf queen and I'm going to go through my old RC Car Action magazines to check period correct parts/paint...

finally someone has done that paintjob, looks unreal champ.
After finding out my good buddy Chris has a sweet old Dog Fighter I wanted to lend him a hand with getting it ready for the race track.
This car was in need of a little work but not past its prime. Chris also got a hold of one of Mr Lexan's 870c...

WOW looks great 8) Glad i was able to help out :D What did you think of the drive and handling with standard shocks?
Awesome!! Just need to lift the rear end slightly and it will be perfect.
Also need to make a front belt tensioner. I will be...
anyone got a clue which 834b this is ? lower front arms only have one hole so dual front shocks seems to be right and the chassis is a different shape to what ive seen on this site. any insight appreciated
Did these yokomo TF-5s come on one of the yoke buggies stock? They are mega narrow. I just found this pair nip.

Those were an optional yokomo part about a year after the release of the yz870c. One of yokomo's limited choice of tires the other being square block. figures you had to buy the rims too. At the time everyone ran cat tyres as they had more choice....
Anyone know the part numbers for the long battery strap for the left side of a Pavidis YZ10, wing buttons and wing wire.
Last post
carbon battery plates : ZC118G
wing buttons can be had in 2 forms ...
ZC110C wing mount set (wire, plastic wing holders, wing mounts)
ZC107H ( special wing holder (anodized aluminum), wing wire)
those gold aluminium lower arms are found on the 834B box. and, they look really nice
I asked pargu2000 to make them. and just got this pics. they look perfect to me in the color and the shape
I'll get the arms tomorrow. will post on BST after I...

I have NIB front aero wheels in white and red
can we arrange trade by any chance?
i presume its standard but seems to have had front and rear shock mounts changed and someone has changed the front top arms for a straight knuckle joint, im led to believe it has a CML suspension conversion for...

I'm pretty sure its made by Fibre Lyte. It was a touring car conversion for the works 94/95 (cant remember the correct term for this model). Back when off road was begin pushed aside for TC racing in the later 90s here in the UK.
I have never raced a 4wd car before. Now I have a Yoke and a Schumacher which I plan to run and I am thinking about how to properly adjust the ball diffs. When I raced 2wd in the early nineties it was simple: Crank down the slipper hit the throttle...

yoke diffs pretty easy tbh do the hex screw up all the way then undo it about 45 degrees and it should be good to go.
havent got the slightest idea about a shuey :?
Not sure this is even possible but Im wanting to lock out the one way function on my 91 Dog Fighter layshaft. There is a one way bearing set up inside the spur hub which allows the front belt to run when off power. While I don't have a problem...

Hey, I picked up some yokes recently, and learning what I can about them. One thing that has been bugging me is all these various old cars that are stuck with old used rubber, or scrounging and searching for obsolete tires/wheels.
I'm looking at...

Well, I got the cyber 10b rear wheels in. Unfortunately, they have more of an offset than I thought they would, so the overall width of the rear track is over 250mm. Something like 253mm or so. So it's very close, but over the roar limit.
not sure what i got here, a guy said he had some dominators parts and gave me this, i know its a yokomo but what kind, year? is it worth anything?
Last post
thanks, i had a few people ask to buy it and the best way i knew to be fair was to put it on ebay, so thats where it is now. i hope someone can use some of these parts.
hi all, just picked up this, i believe its a '91 works, in not bad condition, i'm going to rebuild it, so Bormac, might need some parts, MrLexan, bodyset, any info on this would be great, instruction sheet would be a great help.
cheers Bullfrog

Rob this is a brilliant start to a very good vintage Yoke racer. I have the same setup on my Dog Fighter. The wider arms are from the 91-93 model (I think) which allow you to run the 2.2inch rims that are floating around from time to time. In my...
Buddy called me a few weeks ago that knows I collect the old stuff, said a guy at the track has a bunch of old stuff in the back of his truck for sale, said 1 was a yokomo, wasn't sure on the other, wanted $25 for all of it, did he want me to pick...

Awesome that's the bargain of a lifetime! I like the yoke truck it's a bit different I guess. The AYK is pretty cool too you don't see many of those around any more.
I got myself a YR4 very cheap and was thinking would it be easier to get suspension arms, driveshafts, wheels etc and put on the YR4 or would it be better to try and get a donor car and just transfer the bits on. I was only thinking of using...

Thanks for the info guys, its just that I am dying to get back my hands on an 870c as I sold all mine before Mr. Lex started molding the bodies and I would love to have one again. I am trying to not to spend too much on RC at the moment and so would...
Well I have just about given up on finding a body on ebay  Does anybody know of a sutable replacement? The car is almost perfect, minus a couple screws and the batt. hold downs. I think I could cut new ones myself If I can find a good pattern.

mmm, the stock hubs for these wheels have a 6mm diameter hole in the back to fit over the axle and the drive pin sits much further out than on a kyosho axle. that's going to be real tricky.
Maybe a ultima RB5 (first edition) cvd with a 4-6collar...
anyone got any pics of these cars? are they anygood, or worth much to a collector or Yokomo guy.
im supposed to be getting a yr4 in a trade with some cars from a local guy, never heard of one of these before.
obviously ill turn around and clean it...

I have a couple in paieces and one runner.
They are among the first if not first 190mm touring cars and basically a heavily altered version of the old 870C
I've just aquired a '93 Works.
Can anyone tell me if this thing is 100% correct, has any parts that don't belong,or is missing any parts?
I know the ridged Pavidis rims aren't correct-what are the correct rims for this car?
I have some NIP pink 870c...

the brace is supposed to stiffen up the front suspension, i think they had problems with the c-hub initially. the link connects to the c-hub up top, like the upper link, and creates an 'A' arm.
I pulled out the fleet of YZ10s that I have here at the apartment, in a restoration effort. Not pictured is the loads of spares I have here as well. I have a couple of more of them at storage and I think for now that is where they will have to stay....

alright jay, 2 years after originally starting this thread, are any of these projects done? i know one of them is. :)
I saw this on Ebay and just had to pull the trigger. :D I have wanted to own one for a long time. Its more than I would like to spend right now, but looks like a good deal to me. 8)

Erik, you are correct sir. The yr4 hub does take a 5x11 unflanged bearing.
I placed a 5x10 bearing over the axle and you can still see the edge of the 5x11 bearing:

just wondering if any of you yok owners are having trouble finding spurs for your mr-4's and mx-4's. i know i do when i go looking for the 84t or any other tooth spur for my rigs. especially for the slipper clutch setup.

Found this auction this weekend, if you're interested - it's an 84T. Bought one myself (as I too am afraid of shredding the spur) - thought about picking up some of the other slipper bits he was selling, but as you alluded to, the stock slipper...
I have some aluminum wheel inserts for the yokomo 834 wheels but only have three of each. Does anyone know who made these? I have 3 deep ones and 3 shallow ones. The shallow ones fit great, the deep ones I can't see how it they work any help would...

I think the idea was, if you wanted to run narrow tires up front, you would have to remove material from the outside edge of the wheel so that the cover sits flat with the wheel center. This is all conjecture/opinion of course.
I got this one without body, wing, wing wire, and buttons
thanks to cpebach for Losi Jr. autograph, mikedealer for wing wire, and repro body for mrlexan

Wow what a forum! Im in heaven...! I have finally found an active place for yokomo buggies. I recently acquired a 2003 circa mr4bc-s and actually drove it for the first time today. It was a bit of a time warp for me as I have not driven a yoke since...
Here it is, the Scan Forum is always helpful, though I should re upload those missing pages, Imageshack tends to have leaks in the long time  I'll try to fix that soon!
I did a resto a long time ago as well; here is a linkyyyyy:

I recently aquired an MX 4 and I must say it has grown on me alot. I scared of running it though at club level as the shock towers feel pretty fragile, well with my driving skills it could become an issue.
