I am tired of trying to figure out what is what regarding the Kyosho prefixes on the part numbers. So let's start our own Kyosho secret decoder ring! You guys keep posting, and I will keep updating the first post to have one attempted complete list....

Just a small anecdote regarding the option parts: W => double V => short for double => improvement - it's one of those Japanese things where a term gets contracted into something very short that is barely comprehensible outside Japan.
I been waiting to get started on this restoration for over a year....since then i have been aquiring parts. This is the way the car came from ebay except i took engine out and shocks off.

I haven't been on the board in a while, so maybe this has already been figured out. Hopefully this is useful, though I think the time has run out on being able to do this due to parts availability. *EDIT* I see, now, some people already knew about...

Sorry P.S,
I have found that on some of those Japanese sites it can be easier to type say OPTIMA MID into google translate, they cut and paste the Japanese characters into the search engine on their site.
Can dramatically increase hits, but usually...
Been looking for last couple of years and grabbed this from Japan.
No one really rates these but ive always has a soft spot for them from the old Hobby City days in Auckland,
This one needs CVD's and the battery clips etc, but not in bad nick.

These had dogbones from the factory with the W-5061 universals being optional. I don’t know if there were any aftermarket cvds.. The spur gear should be regular 48 pitch, the Lazer ZXR and Triumph were some of the first Kyoshos to switch to 48...
Hey all. I have a line on a pretty good deal on a NIB 1992 HOR, and I have always liked these from afar, but know nothing about them. I also see I can purchase a brand new model for a bit cheaper, and it looks identical. Being a vintage guy, the '92...
Not a FB member but someone on another mb has posted this link.
It's a clever marketing concept: meet your supplier's initial MOQ's then, to ensure you liquidate your entire inventory, announce the product months ahead of the rollout and label...

For anyone interested: the gunmetal shocks are listed on Kyosho. So there might be other Worlds Spec parts available as well.

For the handful of you that have Platinum shocks....
Several months ago, while working on my shocks, I had tried new white P4 orings. They turned out to have been too tight and have too much friction.
The original orange Kyosho orings were somewhat...
As is typical, I'm confused and have questions.
First up is this ONE front arm. It's on some kind of Ultima (don't worry, THAT question is comming up later!) that I acquired in a box of parts cars. It's dimensionally identical to the 7 other...

Yep, have same things.
They updated it to larger hole for the stabilizer I think as well.
Hey everyone. I picked up a classic inferno recently and tore it down completely, cleaned it up and put it back together. Only thing missing was the fuel tank, it must have cracked and been replaced with one from another car that doesn’t fit right...

Hi Noopy, I am sending you a PM.
P.S. if it is, you have to post some pictures of your project, can’t just drop in for parts :) sorry, it’s the rules.
This is my first post on this forum, and I apologize if my english is not 100%
I recently had a look around my old RC cars and found some parts from my first real race car.
This got me the idea to try to build a replica.

There are some Ultima PRO XL for sale but they are either very expensive or in bad shape.

I do not know in which direction this build will take, but I...
I'm hoping one of you CAD-literate guys has a chassis layout file for an Ultima Pro XL that I would be able to use to print off a scale chassis template on sticky back paper. Or if you know which tree I need to bark up to find one, that's just as...

Thank you Adam. I'll just post the dimensions here for anyone else who might be considering a similar build.

I'm looking to fit a slipper to an Ultima ST. I'd like to get rid of the proprietary gear. Neither slippers nor gears are common to come by these days. Does anyone know of a slipped that uses a metric pin drive? T*****s is hex drive, B/T4 is...

Know anyone with a modern tra**as 2wd? The newer ones use pin drive but have a stoopid offset gear. Drag race concepts make a pin drive slipper eliminator that uses standard gears.
Hello everyone, it’s been a while.
I’ve just purchased a Landjump 4D.

I plan on restoring it and adding it...
So, in another post I mentioned I got a little crazy and bought all the Kyosho Lazers:

And a Lazer ZX from Facebook

Is that chassi that grey irl ???
Sort of? I think it's the fibers in the material reflecting light. If I pick it up and turn it, some angles it's shiny, others its the same darkness as, say, the drive belt.
These USA-1 NC's are both from Tower Hobbies, and were bought in 2000, they both have OS .21 RG motors, and haven't been run in nearly 20 years. I believe 2005 was the last time these ran. They are 100% complete, and were put away working. Both...

Hello Coel,

I don't know, but my guess is that the original parts would have faded over the decades. Javelin is what, 35 years old? 38? If it is a runner it may not matter.

Ot210bk (bk for black)
Ot210r (R for red)

And diaphragms are w6006
