I thought of another question. My internal gears are in great shape but the external gears are a little chewed up. What are my options for these? I've attempted to clean them up slightly with my dremel but haven't gone too far because i'm not sure...

Can someone comment on the thickness of the carbon? I bought some 959 parts from him and they were a bit thin. I would be afraid that if you did run it, it would snap in two pieces.

check around some of the other ultima builds, you'll find good info for example the correct lentgh CVD is 62mm: like on an ultima rb5.
Sticking with the dogbone would allow using an hpi axle which is longer and gives you the extra offset....

They are part# DTXC2504 and it looks like they are for the ultima pro XL.

I agree: parts are always more expensive sold separately than as part of a kit.
The RT5 already uses an extended chassis over the RB5 , so no worry on that point.
But still why would you pay the RT5 kits body, tires and wheels and later buy the...

Yes, that's the one. I ordered 3 of these from Tower Hobbies back in 1998 along with many other OT Optima parts still floating around in their inventory. Long gone now.

trinity made a red anodized bushing for this. And Parma put 3 fluo green adapters with their bright red spurs back in the days.One adapter for the mid, one for the JR-x2 and one...never knew.
