It's always been my understanding that no grease is needed unless there are two or more metal gears. So the delrin/aluminum/nylon combo you're using doesn't need any. I tend to put just a tiny bit of ball diff lube on though. It's gonna happen...

You can find the occasional Thorp part for old Traxxas vehicles, but I haven't seen a ball diff in years. Usually the idlear delrin gears and the top shaft delrin gears are what show up on ebay.

Yeah, they use the typical size of 5x11, ones you posted, key difference though, is that they use a high-speed metal shielded bearing. You can get away with the typical rubber sealed bearing, but it's not going to last very long.
Can anyone tell me the approx. lengths from eye to eye of these shocks?
Also is it really true that these fit all the following traxxas models - i.e. are the stock shocks of all these models literally identical? Saw this list on an ebay posting....

Yes, all those cars really use the same length shocks.
The fronts are roughly 3.5 and the rears are 4 .
