Mine is a US batch with the blue bag and it came with a mis drilled bumper. I'm keepin it.
Anyone know what the name of the company was that made the knock off of the Tamiya Holiday Buggy back in the day? It had a black body shell vs. the blue shell and its own kind of electrics but everthing else was a spot on match. A friend was asking...
I just got some pics. I am deciding which wheels to use on this and my Wild One/FAV project going. And this will be just a shelf queen especially considering is a ridged front and back!

NNNNNNICE>>.What front suspension is that and have yu ever use the fx10 front susp. on a grasshopper. Are those shock from a grasshopper upgrade or are they from a diff kit.
The front suspension and shocks are from either a Mugen Manx or a Panda...
I just got these off the bay for $2. The wheels are used and the tires are new. I thought they might fit the old RC10 but they are too small, 1 1/2 . When and who made these? I would like to find some rears to go on my SRB. IMG_7506.JPG IMG_7510.JPG

You need the rears.... and a Marui Galaxy (or Hunter) to put them all on. :D
Check out the reference section at tamiyaclub.com
Under 'other makes' there's tons of Maruis to check out.
i am looking for some turnbuckles for another project.. i found these on ebay, but dont know if they fit, if anyone has one, and you got some time, could you take a quick measurements of the turnbuckles below for me? it would help me out big
is there a decent fix for the front axles on the frog/brat/scorcher? took the kids brat out for its maiden voyage, and within 3 minutes the right front wheel fell off. The is press-fit into the knuckle.
Is there an adhesive that will keep it in...

Tried the red loctite over the weekend. put on a liberal amount after degreasing, then used a c-clamp to press the axle in firmly and let it sit clamped overnight. Ran a full pack through yesterday with no problems.
Thanks for the help!
Ok i Know a Ball diff is great and is standard on the top line kits.
I have been racing since 85 when ball diffs were very limited to the best of the best as standard equipment.
I have been asking myself this question for a while now based on...

I think it also depends on how technical the track is. The gear diff is heavier which means more rotational mass. People spend quite a bit of money to lighten every part of the drivetrain. If you need a lot of quick throttle commands a gear diff...
Blackfoot light runner a while back.... Right now it sits inside the cabinet... :D
Might repaint it sometime...Not to happy with the paint it has right now..
While getting over 5 inches of rain since friday here in Jersey i was forced indoors so what better time to build this Brat chassis with a old school crp front suspension setup, custom body mounts and a chevy pickup body. I was dreaming of better...

Nice Chevy Brat.. Got the same front suspension you got for my frog.. :D
I won this on the bay! I also got a new in box Pro-Line vintage truck body kit and a new Pro-Line Outlaw body and wings kit. Oh ya and the little guy at the end.
Only wanted it for what was inside???

My cousin had one he thoroughly trashed on our street and he gave it to me in a heap. I threw most of it away as it was garbage-- but it did go fast.
The Frog was one of my first real rc's and i still can't get enough of these things. I decided to do one with a used black king blackfoot frame i got in a parts pile, along with some old school hop ups like a thorp diff, parma shocks and nerfs, crp...

I'm a big fan of those rear and front shocks... 8) . Were they period hop-ups for the Frog?
Yes , they were made by parma. I tried finding a neon hose to match the rear but no go for now :)
Hello my friends,
RC-LOHAS had re-release the Red Hotshot Team Suzuki type laxen body. You can complete your Red Hotshot now 8)

Speaking of the Frog, are there plans to make anything else for it besides the chassis? I would like to see some heavy duty gearbox plates made. Those might be easy to do... or maybe not.
I cant seem to find any Buggy Champ 2009 front tires? They seem to have dried up on ebay, tower, Tamiya USA. Cant even find a listing on Tamiya USA. Are they all gone with the discontinuation?

Yeah, the car is, but I can't see them stop making tires and other breakable parts as poeple are just starting to run them.
hi guys.i want to get a frog but im torn between scoring a used one of the 1rst release or getting a new rerelease...what would you do?
to me a new car in the box is alway more fun to built than to refurbish a used one...i'm also thinking that by...

I thought I remember someone on here at one point was going to make heavy duty side plates?
Just finished my 2010 SS.
Shortened the chassis 5mm to get the wheelbase correct, had the wheels , wipers & exhaust chrome plated.
Action pics to follow after I give it a good flogging this weekend!
Here is my TA03F Drifter, and the chassis was released in 1995. I've had this car for 6 months now, and have now only started to find time to actually use it! It's got locked diffs, carbon steering bar, 5.5t ezrun combo, HPI 9mm offset rims and T...

I had one of those for a little while. I was going to be crazy and combine the TAO3F with a TAO3 R and try to build a twin motor car. Never really finished it and ended up trading it for a XX4.
I have a built Buggy 2009 and have a 2010 Scorcher I want to keep in plastic for my son years down the road. I would just like to buy the Scorcher body kit to put on the buggy. I think the front body post is different. Is there anything else that I...
Just wondering if anyone on here as successfully polished the cast parts on the SRBs. I have both the buggy and scorcher done and while I was looking at them I thought it might be cool to break the Dremel out and polish. Problem is that I don't have...

Polishes up real easy, just like chrome when done. I used mothers mag wheel polish.

That looks pretty mean. I was thinking about getting one of the ez run kits. What battery are you running with it? Im looking into lipo's and was wondering what kind of c rating would be good.
Ive got 2 Yeah Racing 3600 lipos (20C) and 2 Orion...
Here's a project that has been sitting on the bench. I wanted to merge an M03 chassis with a midnight pumpkin shell. Kinda looking for a hotrod truck.
Here's my progress so far:
Does anyone know what chrome wheels are available today that would fit the original Blackfoot? I don't know if the Blackfoot axles are completely different than the cars and trucks today. I'm hoping to find wheels with holes or slots and not...

Well after I missed out on a Fox a while back, I kept looking and came up on a Hotshot. Now my problem is parts. I know Tamiya re-relesed the Hotshot. Are any of those parts compatable with the older one? Also, I'm having touble finding parts in...

Looks like a good start. I'm ready to get my Hotshot build going!
Someone asked to see a car I had on my workbench a bit closer, so here it is. This is the original Super Champ I had when I was 12, which was a box of parts up until about five or six years ago. I had to get ebay to help me get it running again, and...

Looks good, you put a lot of time in to it definitely the toughest SRB I've ever seen good job
I've had my eye on these for a while. Finally got one! Awesome car to finally get to see in person. Tamiya nailed it with this one.

Thanks shodog. It's new built/never ran from fleabay. Tires have a little dryrot so I'll likely replace them. No plans to run it though, it would be too hard to replace again.
I have a Tamiya King Cab that I use as a runner every now and then, but on the last outing it stripped the splines on the wheel hex and axle. For a fix I drilled and tapped a 3mm hole thru the hex and axle, this held up for awhile until eventually...

I wonder if Bandit arms would be the correct length.
New build. Maybe a candidate for 2wd at the 2011 Vonats??
Maybe not the most popular 2wd buggy out there, but it reeks of quality. Typical Tamiya.
I got it already painted. I would have opted for the 2 tone if I had my choice...

anybody bother putting ballbearings in the suspension arms in these? :P
I haven't looked into it on this car. I have an Astute I plan on building with all the Tamiya hop-ups on it. Thought it would be cool to replace the bushings with bearings...
Hey guys, I thought I'd post some pics of the TA02 F-150 I've been restoring, before it leaves for it's new home, and I finally get my JRX2 Junior. I used most of the original parts- gear cases, servo, prop shaft, body posts as well as some NIP...
My buddy has the re-released Brat.
What options, that you know of, would work for larger wheels that will work with the Brat.
(We're only concerned with axle/hub/wheel mods, if the body needs to be cut to make room, that's ok.)
He'd like the Monster...

Thank you highwayracer!

I'll pass it along.
I built myself a nice Tamiya Top Force.
I have never been a Tamiya fan , but i always liked the Top Force.

Now that's a quality build. I've always been a fan of the Tamiya Top Force family. Now, I just need to convince my wife that I need one... but seriously, top notch build. The blue an gold colour combination is spot on.
Just got back from holidays, took my Sand Scorcher & Wild One along. My son & I had a ball.
All the pics were taken ny my 9 year old son. (I'll get in trouble if I don't say that)
Well i made a new years promise that i would start(and hope to complete) some projects that have stacked up over the years. Loss of my job late last year has been frustrating. I have been unloading alot of parts that i would of never wanted to part...
