This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Question I haven't found a firm answer for... it seems some RC10's have much whiter Nylon than others. I'm not talking about dirt or oxidation/aging etc.. just simply as they came some cars had much whiter nylon. I know this because I was fortunate...
Last night I did a test cut for a Brian Kinwald 93 worlds style rear shock tower as close as I can reasonably get it I think. Let me know what you think.

This took a lot longer than I wanted, but the 93 Kinwald towers are going on eBay today made from 0.072” iridium carbon. Obviously, these are going to be fairly limited being a niche item, but if you are looking for one, check my eBay store.
Just putting the pics back up of the MMS Schumacher RC10 after it was deleted by the crash, once again thanks to Charles (CNA75) for recommending this forum to me and thanks for all the previous comments. There was a post with some...

Hi, it was made by mms using the early Schumacher cat running gear, not sure how many Alan sold but we had 3 of them at our club in the late eighties…… the club was YORCC …. York, North Yorkshire ……… sorry no photos, have been looking for one for...
I wanted to share my current RC10 collection in one photo with them all together. Its taken about two years to acquire these buggies and its on going! I've tried to fully restore each one of them to the best of my ability! My goal is to get...

Is that a Factory Works chassis? Looks good!
Yes, it is! Its pretty good quality too. Thank you!
I'm new to the vintage RC10 platform. My time as a kid was with Tamiya Grasshoppers, Hornets and Frogs. I always wanted a RC10 but the prices were way over our budget.
I was recently re-introduced to the vintage RC world which re-ignited...

I only mention replacing the bushings because they can stain the white parts and a car with bearings just fits together so much better
That's a good tip. With the white plastic parts still pretty bright, I want to preserve them as well as...
I finally found a new body for my old oval car and it has sparked my interest again, my car is quite unusual. RC10 based dirt oval cars vary wildly and tend to be scattered on the board so why not start a picture thread of different cars, ideas and...

Came across this guy. Is this a McAllister conversion?
Also has quite a few Andy's parts as well.
I decided to cracked open my B2-B3 conversion kit but after some heavy breathing and humming and hawing, I decided to leave my B2 alone and not convert it.
So now I've been considering to build up a RC10 B3 from the RC10B2-B3 conversion kit -...

It will be a runner, I am just waiting for the last part - a battery strap of all things. I could only find the Thundertiger version and it has had to come all the way from Australia.
Does anyone make a super knobby tire like the oroginsl gold pan cars came with? I picked up a couple sets of the new concepts tires, but what are options for super aggressive tires for the RC10….if there are any options that’s. My track in my yard...

I believe that Tamiya Hornet rear tires will fit on the three piece Jellybean wheels.
To start this off, I would 1st like to congratulate Jay Halsey himself on winning the 1st ever IFMAR OffRoad Worlds in 2WD, and sending the RC10 and RC World into a spiral of evolution that has taken the RC10 to many subsequent World Championships!...

Love these jay halsey builds I styled my b6.4s with a touch of this styling. Still want to add black front wheels. It’s not as detailed but is a bit of a throwback.

First post here... Last night I decided to dig out my rc10 that I purchased and built in 1985. I was in 7th grade and was hooked on rc immediately. I drove and raced this car for several years thereafter. Needless to say time went by and the...

I’m jealous that you still have your first RC. I sold my first and I would love to have my Rc10gt rtr, but I’ve replaced it in my adulthood with others, but there is something about all the others I’ve had the won’t ever match my first one. Congrats...
With a couple of projects nearing completion I've been collecting parts for another. Finding a nice black chassis seems to be difficult and $$$, so this is another build where I will be taking the long way around again making an equivalent to the...

It's an upgrade for sure.
Although I have several Tekin esc's and receivers, I agree. Calling them finicky would be mild.
Not to blow past that impeccable and periodly painted paint, but the body itself is really cool. It's kinda wild that IFMAR doesn't allow, say, a vent flap cut into the body unless it is originally molded/part of the body. I remember an A&L body...
Hi and apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't get anything useful from the search.
When was the first aftermarket Graphite or Carbon chassis released?
I went down a bit of a rabbit hole after making a comment regarding the JJ Ultima...

Bolink listed graphite material and a chassis in their 1982 catalog, and I'm certain other onroad cars were using it well before that.
Hi all, just wanted to share my blue carbon fiber shock towers I made today for my A stamp car. I think the blue works well with the gold. Also blue is my favorite color so that’s a thing too. Let me know what you think.

That's a pretty clean looking buggy. What sort of paint job is going with this? The blue is cool but it would be nice to tie it in with some other blue. How thick are your parts? If thicker than OEM, do the ball cups in the steering bell crank area...

I’m trying to restore and/or make correct my RC10 Collection. After reading the 25 years of the RC10 thread it appears I have a Cadillac chassis with Edinger parts. The chassis is the darker gold. It does have the thicker mill front shock tower....

Some late Edinger parts were packaged in early Cadillac kits. Lots of running production changes, and of course the location change.

Hey Lavigna - I know this is an old thread but I have questions!
What did you use for these items:
Rear Shock Tower
Battery Hold Down
Ball Ends / Turnbuckles
Did you use the MST ball nuts on front AND rear inside link spots?
What size front tires/wheels did the graphite car come with stock? Want to make sure I’m looking for and buying the right size tires for the stock wheels..
Also if you have a newish pair that will work let me know!!
Thx

If you don't care about tread patterns, Traxxas still makes a step-pin front and Schumacher has a couple rears.
Some of the re-re Tamiya's might also have options.
Hey all. So my neighbor always sees me messing around with my cars out front and it gave me this old RC10 that he didn't know much about. I'm trying to decide if it makes sense to actually give this thing some love and get it back into good running...

Is Ten4 still available?
What is the rear transmission on the Ten4? The AE stock 6 gears transmission?
Thanks 🙏

There was a sort of plated version that flaked off, olive drab, then the powder coated ones you have.
With the trans brace you have, a 6 hole front tower would probably be best. Early stealth trans cars had a 6 gear brace with 2 new holes added for...
I figured the only way to get a coffin chassis RC10 Graphite is to have a replica chassis made. Since I have an extra later model RC10 Graphite in nice condition, it seems like a good option for the making a coffin chassis style buggy.

It's been a while since I built an RC10. So I figured it was finally time to open a NIP Lightz oval conversion I've had for many years.
There's nothing fancy on this one and I built it as more of a gearbox club racer.
