This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Question I haven't found a firm answer for... it seems some RC10's have much whiter Nylon than others. I'm not talking about dirt or oxidation/aging etc.. just simply as they came some cars had much whiter nylon. I know this because I was fortunate...
Hi, I am new to the site, wish I found it sooner. Here is my Worlds Car that I plan on taking vintage racing. I bought this car new sometime around 91'. Car has graphite chassis, Lunsford Titanium hinge pins and turnbuckles, titanium gearbox parts,...

Thank you, I appreciate it. I ran a bug body on my original RC10 for years. They seemed to work...
Started with a decent pan and top loading shock bodies. Has rpm arms and steering. Replaced the bearings in the trans and installed bearings in the outdrives. The rims , trans, rear bulkhead , shock shafts, rear shock tower ,lower rear shock mounts...

I just pm'd ROH73 to see if he has any of his undertrays left. If he does that will keep the chassis protected.
I'm in the early stages of building a carpet oval RC10 project, but I've ran into a problem that I hope someone can help me with. Mods, please move this and my other threads into the Tech forums if necessary...I'm really not sure...

the issue is that on alot direct drive trans, the diff/outdrives are usually set further back (towards the motor) because of the larger diff gear that is required. if you had it setup as a rear motor, this wouldn't be an issue. but now, with it...
I am planning on making one more chassis for a new car with the klein dynotech-racing arms on it. I attached a set of drawings of the parts I am planning to cut, we will se how it works out.

Cool, I got a variety set of the blades of the bay, so I actually try all of them. I use the smallest one on the towers and a bit bigger teeth ones on the aluminum chassis. I smooth out the sides with dremel and with a hand file.
I was wandering if anyone has used other shocks on their RC10 other than the Associated ones for their runner or shelf. I am working on a RC10 with some custom parts and wanted to use some other shocks. Post pics if you can.
I am planning on using...

you can use the evader shocks but you will need to use losi or evader springs because the bodies are larger in diameter just like the losi shocks they were originally based off of. i used 2 sets of short buggy fronts set on one of my dirt oval cars...
I have this MIP tranny graphite chassis RC10 and I want to upgrade to 2.2 tires. I have what I think are 3/16 MIP cvd's already so I think all I need to make the switch are: (4) 3/16 x 3/8 flanged bearings for the rear hubs, (4) 3/16 x 3/8 unflanged...

If there are a series of bumps/dots or whatever you'd like to call them around the diameter of the wheel to represent rivets, then they are Proline for Tamiya 1.9s.
I scored this cool old midget body a few weeks ago and was just checking to see if it will fit an RC10 or a DS..and I've been thinking about cutting it out so I can see...what do you guys think?? will it fit?

Are there any alternative steering parts I can use for my RC10?
I'm thinking something with bearings like the MIP system. Ive got some NIP original steering linkage parts but want to use something a little stronger for racing.
Thanks

Did you see these?..they are cheap enough and period correct..
I have these but not sure how good they are as the plate is attached via only screws with copper plate with no bearings.
Hey I'm new to the forum and thought I would post some pics of my RC10 graphite build. I got this car around 1990 and converted it to race dirt oval for a couple of years before replacing it with a Custom Works Intimidator. I recently got it out of...

Your gearing is wrong, you want less teeth to the pinion not more. Try a 10 tooth pinion on the 6 gear tranny, if it's still to hot go to a 9t.

Stealth Fighter was my race body back in the day, the tight fit makes it really nice when using velcro to mount the body. Plus no dirt gets inside the tub. I would definately buy one if someone reproed these... hint hint mrlexan  :D

No you can usually get a graphite chassis for 40-80 in nice shape.
Since I am no RC10-expert at all I thought that I would ask You in this forum.

I want to run my battery longitudinally in my gold pan but need to drill the holes for the battery holder is there a set position for this as mine doesnt have any holes to put it that way?

i think that if you are going to run this one than don't worry about drilling. BUT, a good double sided tape could be a good idea. A hard hit the wrong way could dislodge it though.
Okay I just got these and they are my first so being that I am not that knowledgeable at identifying the multiple variations of this chassis, what exactly is it that I have here??

you can probably bend the nose plate back slowly and gently in a vise, with a cloth or thick paper on the vise jaws to prevent scratching the anodizing. If the aluminum is stretched far enough that is has hairline cracks, there isn't much you can do...

Greg, I just though tof this, but you did turn you diff the correct direction inside the case?-when in mid motor
the adjuster side of the diff needs to be on the same side as the input shaft, otherwise your diff will loosen it self as you run
I already have the T3 front molded graphite shock tower and front shocks.
Thanks,
