I found one of these RC10L SS kits sitting on the shelf at a hobby shop and was wondering if they are still common to find in kit form. I remember when this car came out years ago but not sure when they stopped production. The same shop had a couple...
I decided to rebuild the shocks on a DS I picked up recently and didn't like the scratches on them. First stop was the manual for part #'s and then Tower which had it, #8845, in limited quantities so I ordered 4 and got the bounce back that only 2...

Just FYI, if you wat to convert to 235mm, I would not recomend the CRC conversion, there is a conversion from europe, that replaces the lower pod plates, and you dont have to run the hub extensions (Which SUCK!!!!!!!!! - they add quite an unbalance...
I haven't seen too many DS's on the on road forum, so I thought I'd add one to the mix.
I've owned this one since it was brand new. I sold my original rebuilt RC10 truck conversion & Bolink Legends car to buy it. I think it's one of the coolest...

Ok i am getting this RC10L** im thinking its a RC10LSS but im not sure, Id like to mount a 1/10 NISSAN ZX-GTP from Mr Lexan, Does the RC10LSS have the same wheelbase and width as the original RC10L, Or is the car in the pics a different car?
Thanks

Not sure it came attached to a Tomy intruder buggy as onroad conversion, not got it now, was maybe 235mm though looked same as one came on my RC10L spares chassis
This old 80's wedge has been in my closet for many years. It's clearly got Andy's RC10 arms on it, but the chain drive is perhaps a conversion? Lot's of things throwing me off on this one........
I originally took dirt tires off of it when I got it...

My keen eye sees one universal axle and one dog bone axle. Maybe an oval thing or just a needed repair between races.
Anyway, it looks like a quality car that will clean up good. Nice that it has a good body still. I agree with ERouge keep...
Any photos of the car yet? :D
no, not yet  I just threw everything together for a test run. Now that I know what I need to change (and replace  ) I'm in the process of a tear down, cleaning and re-build
They were on the same team back then, so I figured a good place to post. Here is my Yokomo YRX-10, with some Yokomo Option Parts installed. It is still a work in progress. It has the optional carbon fiber arms, carbon fiber upper deck, carbon pod...

I have my boring bar figured out but my machine does not like boring and it is taking forever to get the right size. Becuase I am persistent, I am going to continue making a set of wheels for my 10L I just recently got.

I have an Associated catalog from 1979 that shows the Wolf F1 is part # 2116 L (for Lexan) and the cars that it would fit would be an RC 1A (for Indy Car or F1 body) but probably would also fit an RC 2, RC 100 and RC 200. In other words a very early...
I'm trying to figure out if the RC10 DS front arms are the same length as the early narrow buggy arms. Are they longer or shorter. I'm trying to get a narrow width to fit an HPI Charger body on.
This is really a question for Mrlexan and maybe others who dabble in lexan or vacu-forming.
I have a few older out-of-production bodies (from various manufacturers) and I'm wondering if they can be donated to someone interested in remaking them as...

Mr. Lexan,
Have you tried to make a mold from a NIB vintage body for reproductions? If so, what material do you recommend using? I have two other related questions. Did you build your own vaccuform or do you have an industrial machine? And Lastly,...

Great! What I have is the version from your first two photo's posted. What I have is a assembled differential, some spare parts and a couple of hubs. I thinking that because the housing is a larger diameter than a standard axle, I need to find a...
Here is my one and only onroad car. Berrickster threw it together for me to mount this old skool TOJ on. I think it turned out well but it needs taller tires in the front and I would like the rims to match the back. Any help with that is...

That's nice!, I don't know if it was correct or not but I cut up a buggy driver for my TOJ ( after he was done taking a leak )
I am building a new RC10L and wanted to know what I can use to get the front tires to extend out to the same as the back??? I could turn something on the lathe but figured I would ask here first.

You could buy Bolink or similar on-road front wheel adapters, then use narrow or wide rear wheels on the front to get the right width. I did this on my RC10 and M.A.N.E. Eclipse with rear BSR caps mounted on all four corners.
Was wondering what body I can buy for the 10L cars?? I would like a stock car and road car body
Thanks
Scott

It depends if you need the body for a wide (10L) or narrow (10LSS) chassis. You will probably find more variety for the narrow cars. PM coming your way.
I just got a great lot of cars, I have a 12L, 12I, and 10L are their manuals on line? thanks
