What shocks off the new associated cars will fit the re re worlds and re re rc10 Classic? Are there big bore aluminum options? What modifications will I need to make?

Thank you...tucked the edge of the speedo into the battery cup, opened a hole in the top of the cup. Out the hole, through the bulkhead and to the motor. I've been getting more OCD about simple/clean/neat wiring as I get older.
So the previous owner hot glued the entire diff assy on my RC10 Team Car (stealth gearbox) into one solid lump. It's like having a solid gear drive. I'm guessing he lost the balls for the ball diff so just bodged it like this.
I've yet to drive it:...

I had a full scale jeep with a welded diff. Massive, massive under steer anywhere on the street. I imagine driving at speed on a dirt road it would lead to a bit more over steer if I were to have the horsepower to turn the tires, which it did not.
Somewhat new to the forum, definitely not new to rc, but I recently picked up a well loved graphite rc10. She cleaned up great. After a complete tear down, and cleaning of course. The parts were dyed black, so I re dyed them, freshened them up....

Those will look killer all polished up. Everyone knows aluminum wheels are just for show.
Just for show...dog? Your stuff is killer! Love your page
Thanks for the compliment. I love the bling but I'd never be crazy enough to run a buggy with...
Hello guys, I need some help from the RC10 gurus. First, I've got a 1990 Championship car that is pulling duty on the track until my modern cars are up and running. The car was originally a 6 gear car so when I decided to pull her out of retirement,...

Not sure what was happening that day at associated, but someone put the top shaft in backwards. Simply pop the clutch off, open the case and swap the top shaft around and put the little cap on the other half of the trans case.
We now have a track in my backyard. The jumps are firming up with regular watering, but the rest of the track tends to stay rather soft despite watering.
Sooo, are there any modern 2.2 options for rear tires that work in soft dirt, that won't pack...

The body in this b3 vid. is the body shown on page 23 of the b3 manual I downloaded from the AE site. Picked up a B3 with blue anodized nose , motor plate , and rear chassis plate. Did the team or factory team have this body in the kit?

It's the Deja vue tu Body from proline... It's still my favorite body & I have a nib TBG one in my closet! ;-)
Originally, it came in the B3 Worlds Conv Kit, body wing, updated pieces..
The wing blends as part of the body.. It's pretty awesome!
The RC10B2 #9155 black servo saver parts - did anyone ever make an alloy upgrade?
If not, does anyone know of one made for different kit that would work?

Are the B2's shorter than an RC10's servo saver? I bought a set of GPM cranks for a Losi Street Weapon to use on a RC10 Terminator build that I wanted to rotate the servo on. The holes were pretty close:
I have three RC10 6 gear transmissions. The video is of the best one that spins the longest. 3 seconds. Someone once mentioned it could do 16 seconds. BS. I have ABEC 7 bearings through out plus the black delrin gears. The metals gears have been...

This could be a cool competition. We'd have to setup some ground rules on how to spin, but would be cool to compare with Losi LRM, Stealth, MIP, etc...
Wanted to take a chance to win this on ebay but seller removed it. Never saw a chassis like this. Anyone know what make it is?

Thanks, it was def inspired by the ultima ladder frame. Although I could have a more faithful homage if I'd actually looked at a picture of an ultima! I can post more pictures in this thread if no one objects, but I'll wait 'til we get some sun and...
I'm looking to start building my Graphite WOIN and my graphite chassis has a yellowish tint to it I'd like to get rid of. It's tinted or tarnished as if it spent years in a smokers house. My 10L chassis is 16 and has not tarnished at all. Does...

Thanks Bully. I used a little never dull or something like it to polish the chassis. It comes in like wool wads in a can is just slightly abrasive. I polished it by hand and then used my Dremel to buff it off. It made enough of a difference for me...
Hey guys I've been trying to thin out my RC closet, and came across this chassis, its for a 6 gear. I was contemplating drilling it for a stealth tranny and building a runner with it. Can anyone ID it for me?
My friend is doin a rc10 build and the chassis is a bit bent. were debating how to unbend it. bit pushed up in the front, bit in back dent on the motor guard. ya know basic used rc10 issues(got a few rc10 chassis that can use some help too).think...

Before I asked/posted I was kinda doing it the opposite of you guys. putting the chassis on a block with the nose sticking out about 6 inches stepping 1 foot on the chassis and stepping 1 foot on the front end of chassis applying pressure bending...

I use an ultrasonic cleaner every day at work.
Dawn is good, Mr Clean is maybe better. Depends on what you are cleaning.

We all know about the Silver/Blue stock motors that came with RC10's, but I also have these other two motors and was wondering if anyone knew anything about these?

I picked up a version of a Team Associated '05' motor with an Edinger sticker that I've never seen before. Doing some research it looks to be an 'Igarashi' version of the standard stock motor but I am just curious...
So I'm sitting here looking through old mags and was trying to figure out how to use TRC narrow pro lite rear tires on a RC10Lss to maintain 200mm width.
What hubs and axel do you use?
Saw an old article on a AE/HPI insane speed run car and it had...
I thought I would share with you some photo's of my Team Associated/Yokomo RC10 Gear Cover.
I am not sure if any of you are familiar with this piece but I know that Masami Hirosaka used this style of gear cover on his RC10's in...

I will be posting soon to the sell section a limited production run of covers with the red caps. The gear cover will be based on the early RC10 style cover. If I can get a hold of the Japanese version, I can offer these with a royalty fee going to...
So, I've been getting great help for my gold pan i am restoring to do a rest mod. And so here is another question, about a shock. When i emptied the shocks of their oil and contents. (this shock has seals still), The piston is sticking to the...
Okay, so i believe i found the issue with the horrible binding I had. The original piston (it has a notch, not a hole) i believe swelled and is now way to big to even fit. so, i pushed on a modern small bore piston which was very tight to put on,...

ahh okay thanks and sorry abou the thread. So, the new 1.32 shafts would fit perfect? and yes, its a 98% original car so it should be the short arm.
When working with the wide RC10 front arms, I often run into clearance issues attempting to install the lower shock mount. My usual solution is to file the arm until there is enough clearance. Is there a better solution?
tomorrow iam getting a restored rc10 worlds but it has the 3/16 axles on it. i want to run modern wheels front to back. what do i need to get to do so? i know the re release has new cvds,is that all i need for the rear?

Just ran across this thread from a Google search not relating to it... But 25 degree B4.2 castor blocks would give you 30 degrees of castor on a rc10... If you used 30 degree B4.2 castor blocks, that would be 35 degrees on a rc10... Just remember 25...
are any of you running them on your racers? i run my rc10 on astro and in tight 180's off a fast corner the car will pick up in the inside front wheel as its transferring to much weight to the outer rear wheel.

Has anybody had issues with their whitened parts re-yellowing? I noticed tonight that my 10T parts are starting to darken in some areas. I did the peroxide treatment back in January, and the color lightened and evened out very nicely. Since then,...

Might not be the same situation but since we are sharing the peroxide experience I've had some luck with parts that I cleared but they eventually started yellowing again. The clear was because I left them in a wee bit too long and they became chalky...
Hey guys, as I'm looking at vintage RC10s I'm seeing varying shades of yellowing of the nylon parts. The front and rear arms tend to be more yellow than the suspension blocks or mounts, or even the rear bulk head. Is that normal? Or is this a newbie...
race day is coming up and after some practice i noticed the car has a heavy push in the high speed sweepers. its also pushing mildly on tight corners. from my initial set up that you can see here :
i went up to 40wt oil and a heavier spring in...

slightly stiffer front spring
That alone was the biggest mistake. Stiffening the front end will create more push
So I have this assortment of shock bodies and shafts that I have forgotten what they came off of. Is there any charts that floating around that have measurements and their equivalents i.e. a shock body 1.5 long = 1.32 AE Shock? Same for the shafts.

For shock bodies measure them on the insides. From the bottom of the shock inside to the top of the threads on the opening will be close to the shock stroke length.
Measure shafts from the bottom c-clip groove to the top of the taper on the...

As listed in the title, is this common? The car is a 1990 Gold Pan Championship Edition RC10. Within two or three laps, the rear E clips are missing from the front arm inner hinge pin. I've tried glue, putting a washer behind them, everything. They...

Ok, track day complete. One gouge on the nose plate from an invisible rock but NO SCRAPING at all! The front didn't drag one bit. My front ride height was 25mm. Silver springs with 6mm pre load.
SCR8P's eagle eyed reply led me to the solution....
I thought I had a thread on this, maybe not. I'm constantly breaking the rear a-arm mounts that the hinge pin goes through, and they always break at the same place, where the bolt hole is. Seems I go though one per outing. I bought 3 sets of...

The hinge blocks are stock parts, no peroxide treatment. I've blown new ones, and old ones.
I actually did puick up a set of vintage nerf bars in with some vintage bumpers I bought. I may try those.
I think it's just the leverage of the long RC10T...
Why the rear 2.2 wheels for the rc10 buggy Part #: 6805Y from Team Associated are narrower than modern 2.2 wheels? I have some old 2.2 wheels think they are proline and they are wider , dose anyone no if i can get the wider rear 2.2 wheels?

There are proline b3 wide body rears that are wider than standard b3 rears.

I was given a graphite rc10. It works fine. I don't know anything about rc10 or rc's in general. I'd like to be able to use this in a school yard and street environment. I like to modify stuff and would love to make this thing handle like a dream....

Mmmmm, I like this idea. Might have to do that on the next body. When I take mine to the track, and the wing falls off, the younger marshalls don't know how to put the old wing back on. I have the wire bent a bit to keep it on more solidly now...

It's a good idea to replace the plastic pop on type rod ends regularly depending on how you use your rc. Most guys I know do it once a year or sooner depending if they have a trouble rod end that pops off continually from minor crashes that would be...
i built up a sort of a world's using a combination of parts i already had, and parts i ordered. anyhow, in front, the endlinks on the shock rod, where they attach to the arms, seem to have too big a circumference, and rub on the arms as you can see...

Yeah if you look closely at the two together you will see a small ridge around the new white shock rod ends. You can just trim them up a little with a dremel or sharp knife. They definitely affect the suspension travel on the wide front arms...
this only takes a few minutes and you have a new gear cover that looks much more like an old school one

So cool mate. I thought about trying to scuff one up a little to see what it came out like but never got around to it.. You would probably see the scratches though so this is a great way to get it done right.. Nice mate
Besides the obvious ease of finding wheels, is there a reason to pursue a front hex swap for my B2 & T3?
Also, is it true the B4.2 caster blocks will fit the arms on the B2 & T3?
if not what needs to be modified for them to work? \
thanks

Yes u can use the b4 series caster blocks and steering arms to convert to hex, it might change the overall front wheel base a little, not sure what the ROAR max limit is, that may only matter is your racing, the only mod u will need to do is drill...

How's your driving? Sometimes slower is faster, if you know what I mean.
I find 8.5t brushless to be terrifyingly fast in a 2wd buggy, but I know many run them. I suspect that's close to the practical limit. If your esc has a throttle limit, you...
