XX4 Heavy Metal
Thanks to Rich Trujillo I was able to update one of my XX4s to full W.E. specs with the new chassis he supplied me.
I restored an early XX4 back to stock specs with a new solid graphite chassis and had a lot of Trinity trinkets left over,so the World's Edition got the lot.
Went on a mission and finally found a set of natural rims and topped it off with a box art Heavy Metal Class 8 body.
One happy Losi collector!
I just bought another XX4 and enough parts to build another three ( ! ) cars, too.
Can't get enough of 'em.
Here's the W.E.,anyways...

Re: XX4 Heavy Metal
Thats very cool!!! Nice to see another HM XX-4 on here. How did you find the shell fitment? When I did mine it looked like the rear could of done with another 1/4" out the back so the arches aligned correctly.

Re: XX4 Heavy Metal
Thanks!
Yep,the rear wheels are a little too far forward.
Helped when I moved all the rear hub spacers forward, though.

Re: XX4 Heavy Metal
You could always machine some material off the arms for more spacers,or off the pivot blocks.
I used to have this chassis on it,with the Trinity pivot block mod, always liked that trick.
This is the first car I've built from the remains of the three XX4s I bought a few days ago, almost got the second car built...Sorry for the quicky/cruddy photos,I'll shoot some more soon.

Re: XX4 Heavy Metal
Shot some photos of the two XX4s I built.
Went right through both of 'em,full strip down, clean, rebuilt diffs and shocks, nbew belts, you know the (or)deal.
Both are for sale,or trade,no matter how hard I try, there's no way I can justify to myself owning four XX4s...and a Street Weapon.
