XXT CR questions
XXT CR questions
Hi everyone
Wondering if I could get some advice about parts for Xxt's from you knowledgable losi guys. I became really inspired from the builds threads of the beautiful Xx and xxt's on here. So I completely stripped and rebuilt my dusty old XXT-CR that I've owned since new. Had been sitting in storage for 20 odd years. Bought back great memories! I just cleaned it up as best as possible, Replaced the broken chassis with a new one I grabbed on eBay, Still need to get a new bulkhead as this is also damaged. - I was pointed towards a remake from Subulatech which I'll grab I think.
I'm keen to replace the olds parts piece by piece over time. Starting with the rusty turnbuckles, ball cups and ball joints.
What are the best items to go for ? I'll probably look at Lunsford turnbuckles. They seem to still make the lengths needed.. Is this correct?
What is the consensus on best ball cups and joints. Seems the stock items are no longer made. To people use Lunsford ? Or is there a better Losi part number to use? I have found several part numbers readily available ;
A6001
A6025
A6029
Are any of these the way to go?
Sorry if these questions have been answered in a previous thread. Any help or advice would much appreciated!
Cheers
Steve

Re: XXT CR questions
Thanks guys! I little rough around the edges still but It cleaned up ok. Got a little carried away with the stickers when I was 14 I know. Have a Novak racer ESC which I'll rewrite too.
RPM could be a good option, hadn't thought of them..

Re: XXT CR questions
Go for the RPM long rod ends in black. I believe you can also still find the Losi ones, but in black. Grey will set you back a bunch if you can even find them.
