If we go by the old motto "what's rare is expensive", they look pretty darn rare to me :D

So when I obtained my first XX era vehicle a couple years back I was worried about the availability of the bulkheads because I have always read that they are prone to failure. I have been racing a XX-CR and now a XXT off road and (knock on wood) have yet to break a bulkhead. I have several on standby for emergencies, and several NIP. But as you point out, they really don't seem to be very rare?!?

what happens is initally, there aren't any around because guys have them stashed, or just sitting on dusty hobby shelves. Then a few guys are looking for them, and when they show up on ebay, they tend to price high because of bidding wars. then the first guys see that they can make some money on old junk they have stashed, and so the parts show up on ebay at the price they ended up in that bidding war. after a bunch of guys see these prices, they put them out there and you get what you have right now.
