JC for wheels, avoid the ARP wheels on Ebay, they are JUNK, and crack with the slightest impact, think i may have a wing i can part with, sadly nothing more as ill be running my car soon and my spares back up, will be greatly needed lol.
TBG for a body, id say Cobra but there are some size issues of late with that shell marrying up to an under tray. A darn good clean up and rebuild, it'll be superb, as for the spur, don't buy the solid hub, id go with a one way adaptor, or, if one pops up, a TCS unit.

The Ebay wheels are junk? Awww man!! Oh well.. At least t hey were cheap.. Haven't used mine yet.. Good to know though.. Thanks for the heads up..

Shawn
They are very brittle Shawn, great for a shelter, not tried dying, but if you could turn them pink all the better, but just not great for running, i blew two sets in one meeting, and believe me, it took no more than a tap for one to crack!

So I already ordered some parts and they are on the way to me :) I was lucky and also found new front arms in a german online-shop :)

Now I will start disassembling the YZ-10 and will update my wanted list.

Some questions:

- Should I polish the aluminum parts? These are faded...
- How could I "refresh" the nylon wing?
- Were there other turnbuckles to upgrade?

cheers,
Daniel

Most folk seem to have the motor mount bead blasted, but id just give it a blast off with brake cleaner as i don't like the shine after polishing lol.
Your wing may come up with a bit of Novus plastic polish, but it looks like its the side fences that are scuffed, so some nicely placed large stickers trimmed to fit? If the edges are bad on the fences, trim them back with a steel rule and exact.
Oh and that store have anymore front arms left?

I'm not sure what parts on the '94 YZ10 are aluminum? The motor mount is magnesium...you can take a scotch brite pad to it and scrub the gunk off for a nice finish. If you are really concerned about preserving it, then you may want to put some clear coat on it afterwards. Just be careful not to make it too thick in the bearing housings.

Maybe turnbuckle kits were made for it back in the day, but today, your best bet is to do it piecemeal. Lunsford, Yokomo, AE, etc. all make titanium turnbuckles. Just find the right size (I don't know them off-hand).

If your coating the mag mount, go with a testors dullcote, its flat, and goes on very thin, and R is right, itll preserve the finish, ive got new sealed ones that look terrible, but thats Magnesium for you lol!

Okay guys, I won't touch the motor mount :p I will just clean the wheel hubs and posts and see how they look after it.

First parts arrived :) more parts are on their way to me :) already found new rear arms and a new front shock tower :) !!!

Next question: How many shocks can I rebuild with one maintenance kit? 2 shocks or just only one?

Each shock is two o-rings and at least one plastic washer. I haven't taken the old Yokomo shocks apart, so I don't know if they're like AE internals (small washer, o-ring, big washer, o-ring, small washer) or more like the AE V2 shocks (o-ring, big washer, o-ring), but it should have two o-rings per shock.

Just checked the maintenance kit and compared it whit the manual. Each maintenance kit has the required "hardware" to rebuild two shocks :)
