YZ-10 Dark Dog : new clothes for 2015

Post by Mr. ED »

skip to the 2nd page for the update !

It won't fit the original under-tray, but hey . it's cheap and readily available. Plus I really love the look of it: got a bit of starwars, batman and spidermans goblin all mixed into one mean lean machine.

The only visual bummer is the bulge for the moter, the Yz-10 moter sits further aft and doesn't extend so far out.
but for me it serves perfect: just aligns with the wires of the stick pack on the hot dog chassis.

Very nice, but you forgot to let us know where the body comes from :) Be careful Ed, it looks like a shelf-queen to me

What driveshafts, wheel hubs and wheels are you using on the YZ10?

I still have a couple unpainted wings, so rather than picking up the full aftermarket pack, I just took the spare body: without wing and decal set. Maybe sand viper wing or plazma edge.

The car isn't finished yet under the shell, but should be soon , I'll be putting a thread with all the details then.sofar it has parts of 4 different brands: less than usual no my builds

hehe, car's not ready yet: longer top links for the rear are just one of the items on the list still.

yeah, tamiya is on a strike with its naming: badre is pronounced 'balder', or more bald than bald ;)

Did you not like the Durga body? I only ask as it appears not to have the additional motor bulge. Do you think they would fit on standard chassied Works 91?

Nah, don't like the Durga. On the pics at tamiya
http://www.tamiya.com/japan/news/news0711/pimg.htm
it looks like you're right.
But I'm using a stick pack and the bulge is perfect to get the accu wires out. without the bulge they'd pushh the body off-center.

Dark Dog: update of 24 july 2008

Post by Mr. ED »

Here's a couple pics of what's hiding under the shell.
Anyone want to take a guess on the origin of the non YR-4 parts?
