Nice buggy you got there!
I have been looking for some affordable short packs my selves; I know that LRP have 4400 C55 for around $115. I’m looking for cheaper ones, but I haven’t found any yet. I think half the price will be nice.
Cheers

Thanks for all the "extra" detail shots. I can clearly see what is going on there now. :D SO as far as the custom works slide racks go, you have both of the models. It appears as though this one bolts to the back of the shock tower whereas the other one on the Lizard bolts to the chassis. Is that rIght?

That's right Wes.

Lars, this pack was a sweet deal, but I don't think you can find them outside of Japan.
SpeedzoneUSA got some nice priced ones with different ratings

I have one pack on its way to Sweden, it cost $14 in shipment and that’s not too bad. I wanted one for a starter to an upcoming project. It’s always nice to have the fiscal part to try out different ideas.

Are they ROAR-approved?

I bought one of these which are ROAR-approved and about the same size and a bit cheaper :D

No I don’t think so. But I like HobbyKing’s price better, how about shipping cost Joppe?

I have heard about this car but this is the first time I am getting to see pics of it, nice work. All the custom touches are very nice and it sounds like the car performs great. I can;t wait to get started on my Ultima now.

Thanks Jake,
All I really 'd need to do now is learn to drive better myself. One time I gave the remote to a friend and straight-away he was keeping up with another guy pretty well. A guy who was in the same runs as me all day and I had never been able to keep up with

Oh, and I really really want to see what you're gonna do with an ultima.

What a great build up.

Looks all to be in the right place. Tight fit with the battery, servo & rx.

Very nicely done. :D

Thanks Mark.
The one element I've kept from the older days on purpose is the wider spacing between the inner hinge pins.
I played around with ultima pro-xl rear arms and the inward hinge mounting points in the rear, and have considered narrowing down the front bulkhead with RPM JRx-T front arms... but I never went through with at as I fear it would make the car too responsive for my driving skills.
(Plus I think it will weaken the front too much and the combo of wide front and narrow rear mounts just seems really wrong, not?)

I'll try to remember to take a video cam next time. But honestly: I almost never run outside of races and it's hard to drive and film at the same time ;)

The next race I'll probably be taking this one to (but possibly the wyvern) is in a horse stable. Very cold place as the race takes place in December.
Bit dark , and no real jumps, but I'll see what I can do for a video.
