Those wheels are the ones I have on both my Kogawa Tribute and my Monoshock Tomahawks that can be seen a couple of pages back in this thread.

Those are nice looking cars ,well done . I'm sort of planning on a little project of my own in the long run , I've always liked the styling of the older cars from when I was a kid (I'm 47) with all the nicely sculpted alloy suspension and these re re cars tickled my fancy but I also do a little model engineering making custom airsoft replica guns for the WW2 renactment scene so I like to have something I can really get my teeth into for months , just building a kit is only 2 evenings work so I've been holding off a bit but then I saw the 4x4 SRB competition winner on the title page and was really impressed by the build quality and basic idea ! So at first I thought about just making my own version of a 4x4 rough rider but that seemed to much like copying his work so ...... I bought a Scorpion to play with ,see if I can convert it too 4x4 , I have a spare diff , gear set ,chain and sprockets but alas no time right now to do the work untill I finish some customer custom gun builds but maybe I'll start a build thread around the summer time .

After building my Scorpion appears they have made some minor upgrades over the first re release , I've not seen these mentioned so this is what I found .
They have included in the kit two 2mm thick spacers to place between the chassis rails and the front shock towers ,this cures the clearance issue with the body shell , there's still no mention of them in the instructions and I can't tell you the part number as they are not in the parts list either , I found them after completing the build as left over parts , then I guessed what they were for , hopefully in future the instructions will be altered to include them in the build but at least they must be listening .
Next is the binding issue of the rear drive shafts , I can't tell what they have altered but even at the point where end float is at a minimum there is still 2mm end float on the drive shafts , I can't see any way that they could bind no matter how you threw it together .
It's only 2 minor things but it's nice to see they are still working to improve the product .
The only thing that I didn't like was the front tyres supplied with the kit , the hard compound just does not work on hard road surfaces ,not to mention the awful noise they make ! I ordered both the medium and soft compound and I really like the soft but even the medium was better than the hard compound .
I fitted mine with a 10.5t brushless sensored system with 2s lipo and it really fly's ! Pops wheelies very easily !
Has anybody fitted the long wheel base upgrade parts ? What improvement does it offer ? I'm guessing that moving the gearbox and suspension back will effectively move the battery mass forward adding weight to the front wheels giving better steering bite .
