It's still possible to get cells for the batteries - IIRC they are 2/3rd AA (or AAA) NiMH. This will also give you a lot more drive time, as the vintage batteries that can still be found for these and Tamiya's Tamtechs tend to be rather dead due to their age - I think the one working pack I have works for like 5 minutes...badly.

My second-hand one uses a Sanwa Comras CP-R unit...

The nib one I have car with the Sanwa unit.

As far as batteries, I'm good with the one oem battery I have. If I do end up running one I will build a pack. When I was at the store last I saw several that looked dimensionally compatible

Now I'm not a big fan of nib collections, I just don't see the point, never have done, until this arrived today. 8)

The fact that it's near perfect, 25 years old, and Senna's car, makes me want to keep it as it is, but that does kinda go...

Hi Guys

As I Race Kyosho rb7/zx7 I thought I would add a Kyosho vintage car to the fleet

So I got this crappy looking raider off eBay for £10.00

I was thinking mid motor, gear diff could be a good vintage racer if I can work some magic on it!...

thanks to bigjeepz i'm the proud owner of this turbo optima with a belt drive conversion:

this car will be a racer in the 2012 vonats classics class.

so far i've ordered:

body and decal set from marwan
gold rear plate with heatsink from pargu...
