I like what you've done with the stinger. Be careful with the front bulkhead (where the front arms attach in the back), that's the weak spot of the car. I've had 2 cars where that part was broken.

Roger

Very cool, I have a stinger that is too bad to restore but too good to forget about...this is looking pretty awesome!

I've been wanting to get some carbon laid up in 10 degree for another project... It would be perfect for older kick up 4wd cars too

Btw, I did run an electric converted stinger bitd, back then the CZ-1 was pretty poor...it ran great with a mod motor!

Didn't the MK1 have a belt already Roger?

Which top axle are you using PRP?

I used some worn out parts from yokomo to get the spur mounted on my electric converted stinger.
Mine was an mk2 but I converted it for 2WD: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=10033

Actually re-reading the thread I remember now the original idler in the stinger gearbox was a worthless thing and I replaced the inners with a belt drive.
I hope you have more luck with your car; or is it a shelfer project anyway?

Mk1 was chain, although Kyosho did a lot of running changes on the stinger series so it's possible they updated it right before the mkII

Is this a replica or Your own creation? Definitely nice car anyway. The chassis looks even more longer than LWB mid chassis.

Hi Jirka it's my own creation,

The Wheel base is the Stinger car , and 1 cm more long than the Optima wheelbase.

Some update pics with reinforced parts:

I must find front axle more long for arms, I thinks use an Optima PRO body

There's a weird chain-driven cat xls feeling to it with that epoxy chassis...

I love it
