Re: My ULTIMA
I think there're différents versions chassis from States who used 7 cells in race, and others countries.

Re: My ULTIMA
In belgium and some other european countries the chassis in the ultima pro kit was actually hard anodised aluminium with 6 slots.
There's an aluminium chassis with 7 slots in the kyosho catalogs; shown with the nissan taurus or something similar in name.
PRP do you have tread onhere with your later joel johnson car? I saw the pics on your blog.

Re: My ULTIMA
The car on the right is an Ultima Pro which has the regular wheelbase and the car on the left is the long wheelbase Ultima Pro XL (black box-art and different stickers) the tell tale difference for the LWB car is it doesn't have the full length upper deckprp wrote:I think there're différents versions chassis from States who used 7 cells in race, and others countries.
As someone else mentioned the SWB Pro also came with an aluminium chassis, thats what my NIB Pro I have almost finished building came with

Re: My ULTIMA
I think the car on the left is a little different from standard: the front part topdeck is shorter on the production vehicle if I remember well.
It looks like someone tried to make the front end stiffer by using a trimmed turbo ultima topdeck with standoffs from the ultima pro.
The wheels are fom the tamiya sand viper and the tires appear like traxxas anaconda ones.
The rear ESC mount deck could have been cut from a turbo ultima top deck or be pro-xl (I can't tell), GF battery plates, and of course the longer front and rear arms are pro-xl.
Neither bumpers is standard ... luckily
