my 1st kyosho triumph also would like some info

Post by hugger19 »

iam not a kyosho expert at all so iam going to say it is a triumph, but has some odd parts. i know the frt arms are modified rpm rc10t arms. as far as the body, frt/rear shock towers, upper chassis brace and the trans mount i have no idea what make they are. now as far as that trans mount it doesnt mount to the trans it looks like it did have screws through it at one time, maybe it had a different trans at one time? any info on this car would be great thanks.

I think those frp parts are handmade, and very well done for that. Rc10 front rims? Schumacher body, or maybe valliant? Yokomo wing mount bullets.
Don't change anything back to original: those mods are all well done and make perfect sense for this model.

I agree, the glass fiber parts are probably handmade. At least the top deck. Those front arms may be RPM arms for RC10T? Rear arms looks stock.
Cheers

It looks like the rear whwels are rc10 ones also. Do they run on hexes? Ifnot you may want the rc10 outdrives on the a&l lw2

That's a pretty cool Triumph. Yeah, looks like it has homemade parts as everyone has already said. They appear to be well done. What is the plan? Are you going back to stock, keeping it the way it is or making more mods?

Would be interesting to know the story behind converting to A&L tranny, since the original tranny was belt driven from the beginning.
Can´t see it being much of an upgrade from the original, just a lot of extra work? The only reason would be a better slipper?

Would be great if Lars (HCP22) would chime in and shed some light on why the beefy arms on his Works didn´t make it into production. They seem modeled after the Lazer arms.

My guess would be because of the better slipper, and industry standard spurs for the time. Works? Did he post somewhere about that?
