Me and my Optimas
Happened to see an ad on a swedish auction site a little while ago.
A woman in my home town were selling off a collection of Optimas.
From the pics it looked like 5 very nice shelf queens. One Optima, Two Turbo Optimas, One Javelin and one Pro.
In the end I was the highest bidder and came home with these:
Optima: Very nice, near mint. Painted in box art. Repro body and tires. Slight scratches underneath. Needs to be stripped down and cleaned a bit.
Turbo Optima #1: Very nice, also near mint but not quite. Box art painted. Repro body. Slight scratches underneath. Also needs to be stripped down and cleaned a bit.
Turbo Optima #2: Perfect Mint! Very clean and not a scratch. Repro body and tires. Body unpainted.
Javelin: Very nice. Slight scratches underneath and in two places on the cage. Gold shocks. YSP kydex bumper
Optima Pro: Mint! Near box art painted repro body and undertray. Tamiya tires *shudders* , Front and rear anti sway bars, Gold shocks.

Re: Me and my Optimas
Very nice collection, pleased to meet another Optimaholic. Be careful, it's easy to over-indulge in your addiction.
Speaking to your forum name...who's gonna win the World Cup of Hockey? It's looking like Canada and Sweden might be meeting in the playoffs very soon!

Re: Me and my Optimas
More pics are coming after the next weekend.
Getting help from a buddy who's a photographer to get some nice pics of the individual cars.
Coelacanth: I'm not much of a hockey fan but of course I'm hoping Sweden takes home the gold!

Re: Me and my Optimas
Lovely collection, great find.
In comparison, my recently acquired introduction to the Optima club is just a tidy vintage rolling chassis with re-re wheels and tyres, belt conversion, full bearings and bottom-load RC10 shocks.
Just looking to tidy and refurb into a usable runner. Great machines.
