I think the body colour is good, you just need some moon-eye decals and red-and-white pinstriping ; rat rod style. Maybe you can ask the forum member in the 'who the heck are you?' thread to help you out

Maybe you can ask the forum member in the 'who the heck are you?' thread to help you out I'm leaning towards a stock VW color to match the Tamiya Bug, but finding an exact color in the type of paint I'm looking for is proving difficult...It may wind up staying black for awhile. It's painted with Krylon's "Fusion" satin black paint which (so far) has worked perfectly on both plastic and Lexan. Because the nose is Lexan, my color choices are pretty basic. I was hoping the chrome Slash bumper would brighten up the front up a bit, but it's scale is off....so I may wind up with another Losi Desert Truck set up.

Got bored today, crappy weather...
Ultima project has stalled until I can find the right paint.
Decided to switch out project bodies to see what the Ultima would look like with some color...
I know it's blasphemous to have any "AE" stuff (decal under rear window) on a Kyosho, but like I said, I was bored, it's not permanent, & it's going back on the B2.

Surfin' around the 'net today, found more inspiration. If I can't find the shade of paint I'm looking for soon, I may head back towards a more realistic "Rat Rod" look. I kind of like similar elements from this one: http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38144

I think I'm pretty happy with the "scrap" bumper.
It does a great job with nearly matching the look of the rear while still looking scale.
It's been a lot of work to get to this point, but it's a pretty good feeling making something look great that was once ready for the trash.
Hours & hours of work, a ton of sand paper, a Dremel tool, half a can of Easy Off oven cleaner, & Mother's polish worked great!
I think I'll live with the "Rat Black" paint & move on to other projects..

I didn't like the way the headlights fit in the front fenders, and did a little re-work on the the bumper.
I think the RPM fog lamps w/Proline covers look better.
Granted, it's no race car anymore, (it's earned it's retirement) but it's the best it's ever looked..so far.
I'm happy with the re-do.
I'm feeling a new paint job & more detail just might do the trick...

The black wasn't very photogenic..so with a little inspiration from one of my favorite magazines and you have a mini-make-over.
Here's a couple pre-detail shots:
