DATSUN 280ZX RM MK2 FULL CARBON
I started an new carbon project.
Many of you will hate this but many will love this car
The car is the very nice Datsun 280zx RM that will be in carbon form till the weekend.
I made one of the radioplates ready today.
I hope you like it.

Ooh, looking forward to this. I always liked the early 1/12 scale Tamiya cars.

Nobody hate it so far
I just love to make theese car out of carbon.
The original looks also good, but carbon is carbon.
If someone wants to have theese parts just mail me.
What do you say if I make the chassis and both bumpper out of one piece instead of 3.

Re: DATSUN 280ZX RM MK2 FULL CARBON
There is only one thing I hate more than a carbon fiber Tamiya 1/12 RC car and its the word dremel. Who's with me on this? In sickens me when people mention the word dremel in the same sentence when talking about real power tools. Dremels with variable speed are the worst - and the sound they make when you turn them on "zzzzzzzzzzz", it's simply horrible - Like the squeal of chalk on a chalk board, but oh so much worse. I especially hate people who own dremels, use dremels or buy accessories for dremels. it just ticks me off...
Just kidding, very nice work!

PS - I secretly own a high rpm, variable speed rotary tool (aka dremel) and have over 200 accessories. I need help!

With the dremel and right tools it is easy to work on carbon.

Jerzi, are you tracing the pattern onto the carbon fiber and then cutting by hand with the dremel? The final product looks very professional.

Re: DATSUN 280ZX RM MK2 FULL CARBON
No. I put the original part to the sheet and I take an silverpen and with that I draw the line I then I cut through the line.

Impressive freehand work! I fear that if you built a pin router you wouldn't get any sleep at all!
