I've been busy with all sorts of things. Spent most of last weekend hunting down parts in the Pick N Pull and doing maintenance on my Ford Bronco and doing yard work in anticipation for a grad party for my son this weekend. On Tuesday I sprayed the clear orange and royally screwed up. I got a little heavy on the hood and ended up getting a run. Only fix will be a do over of champagne base then respray the clear orange.

A couple of things have me stumped. Not sure if I'm totally in love with the color. I wish I would have laid more primer inside the tub as some of it shows above the floor pan when the seat is in.

I have never been a fan of spraying Candy. House of Color makes all of their Candies in what they call a candy basecoat. you get the candy but it sprays like your champagne then you just clear it . its so easy 2 stage not 3.

When I sprayed the body, I totally stunk up the kitchen when it was drying. I realiized this was a poor mans deal to not have a good place to work in.

I haven't made any progress on the buggy. The garage clean up is ever consuming. I wanted to try and finish up this weekend but we had friends from out of town show up this weekend and I spent all day today entertaining. The good news is that my Rogue Element wheels showed up today and they are killer.

The garage project is ever consuming. I've been plugging away on it for the last month. This weekend I got most of it done and I would say it's done enough to do some other things now.

I've made some baby steps in this project. I worked on getting the chassis cut down

I measured 34.5mm and scribed a line.

I used a band saw to make the cut

I just need to match drill the holes for the rear transmission. I will use this chassis as a template to cut another one out of some thicker fiberglass

Coming along nicely Jim! Where's the best place to buy fiberglass sheet?
