MIP B400 ball diff.
MIP B400.jpg
This diff looks to be identical to the B200 diff. Only the model number was updated.

Did we ever find out who made these?

Anyone know who made these? Thorp maybe? :? They aren't a metric thread, so most likely a U.S. company.

So has any one used anything from these guys.

http://www.rcchannel.com.tw/index.php

I know not original hop ups. But for my original Super Champ. a few parts seam great fo rstill using it. IE the roll bar brackets for the main hoop and rear hoop. screw in stle instead of using zip ties. and does not permantly change the integrity of the car. Can still turn it back. They rear end looks like a cool idea.

I just realized they are designed to add about a 1/4" per side to the track width. Kind of neat.

The thread isn't metric, so it's probably a US company. Maybe Thorp? They do kind of have a Thorp/Dirt Burners feel to them. You'd think you would see a lot more of them if they were made by that company though. Idk. I'm going to swap them onto all black buggy for now.

That's half the fun of building these now- doing the detective work! :D Everyone taking bits and pieces of info and putting the puzzle back together. It's awesome learing from others and sharing the info we have. I've made some great freinds messing with these cars, and we've all learned a lot.

I custom built these back in the early eighties with all the hop ups from Ranch Pit Shop in California. Cost me a fortune back then. They all have Thorp differential, special motor, longer and wider chassis and lexan bodies just to name a few. The bodies were custom painted myself. I am glad I still have them in mint condition after all these years.

This is a rare picture of a custom built from Ranch Pit Shop in their retail store and raceway back in the early eighties before it was sold to the Losi family. Those were the days.
