I'm also still interested in the Boomerang version myself like I posted about this past fall but not for a little while longer as I'm running a bit low on moola currently.

I would be interested in Boomerang kit also, any further refinement would be icing on the cake. These chassis kit brings new life into these iconic cars from the past

Just putting the final touches on the Boomerang chassis set. It is a LOT more work than the Hotshot was- all to fit the silly little drivers head and reuse stock body mount locations. Oh well, if it were easy, everyone would do it LOL!

Looks awesome! much refine then the Hot Shot, IMO. When you got some kits made up, I'm up for it. If you can share more detail on the refinements, I'd appreciated :D

What are you doing for steering. The gear and rack of the original were horrible.

Associated bellcrank- just the one centered and bump steer is almost completely gone

Yeah, I'm at the point where I'm ready to call them done. I still need to post up a thread in my area too.

Sorry to bring the old thread back but Are the Boomerang kit still available? Tamiya re release the Boomer again last year so parts are plenty and like to built one if chassis kit development are done.

Cheers

I have a new chassis design, this time on a Super Hotshot/Supershot. More of a Hot Trick theme this time, but not quite done yet. I want to be able to retain the iconic roll bar and I’ll add battery straps instead of the zip tie holes. Also need to tie the stock bumper into the chassis. Anyway, here are some sneak peeks.

This will not replace the regular Hotshot chassis, it will just be another version.
