Whats with the high bids on the King Cabs?

Post by ReaperGN »

About a year ago I got a King Cab with a Sassy Chassis for 30 dollars and have been slowly fixing it up. I have been after a parts truck for spares ever since. But the price has always been right around 150 and since I have not broken anything its not such a big deal to get spares. Today I started browsing ebay and saw two trucks with 20+ bids at over 200 dollars. The trucks are basically stock, used and without a box yet the price seems to be going up. And the one with a Sassy Chassis that was on there a few months ago just sat there at 250. So whats with the sudden interest? Are the stock trucks really worth that much?

Some purists really go for the stock builds. I prefer a good mix of aftermarket parts

I can understand that but I watched quite a few go for around 150 in the past few months. So to all of a sudden see them at a hundred more is a little odd.

It seems to me like the majority of R/C stuff on eBay has gone way up in price lately. Although there are always deals to be had if you're patient enough. Occasionally I'll win an R/C off there that if I went to resell it I could easily triple or better what I paid.
