Tamiya Fighting Buggy rere question

Tamiya has 2 part numbers for the Fighting Buggy: 47304 and 84389. The latter appears to be discontinued, but the 47304 is still in production. Did they underestimate demand for these things and start making more?

never noticed that. this is on the tamiya site...
Please note that this product was formerly released as Item 84389. The specifications remain the same.

When the Fighting Buggy was first released, I was led to believe that it was a limited release..

Maybe it has been more popular than initially thought, and Tamiya has re-re released it under the new part number..
