Tamiya Striker -- Overkill!!!

Post by tecnica2001 »

Here's another one of my many projects, this one I picked up in New Jersey along with a Traxxas hawk 2 and rad 2. I called it "Overkill" cause I'll end up doing more to this car than it should be done to it. I started by buying Thorp Dirt Burners outdrives, dog bones and axles, although I found out that DF03 rear universals might fit the striker....

Not wanting to go too crazy on aesthetics, and not wanting to spray paint the car, I had some green vinyl available and decided to cover it in vinyl....

Just need to find some decals or make some decals....

Also added a new wing, rear bumper, shock towers, and transmission case....

Gonna fix the front pogo sticks?
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Due to the limited choice of gearing, I really have to advise against running those tires on this car.
Is the first pic intntionally spelling "Beetle Striker"?
Good job on the overall look!
