Any body else get a Christmas Hummer??

Post by bearrickster »

My Loveing wife got me this hummer for christmas. I have wanted one of these since it came out. It was used by the local flying club as an ambulance during combat flys as a joke. note the flag on the antenna :lol: he would run it out to the crash site he said not everyone thought it was funny? it has a working siren and all!. I love the body I bought a nother one already. I am going to detail out so I can keep this one just as is. All it needs is new tires I bought two sets for it one for this body and a set of Chrome for the new body. I want to try my hand at some scrach building, its getting a roof rack and bumpers winch some light crawling in its future, and some time on the beach!!

Well I had it out today in the snow :( can you say limited slip? nothing like a 4WD with 1 rear and 1 front wheel turning, and the other 2 doing nothing??? it went no were. I will be finding away to lock up at least the rear diff.

I see the 1:1 versions daily at work and that is enough fill for me. I feel like if I got one, I would be bringing my work home with me.... not something I want to do.

But anyway, looks good. I like the tan over the green, always have.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

well I havent worked on this in a long time, but I took the 50mm from my Fast Attack and thought it would look better on the roof of my Hummer. I want to make a interior plate for this one also with a driver

Cool Hummer!

I have a couple of these, it does help somewhat to lock the rear diff.
I have tried locking both front and rear, but the steering suffers too much.

Some people just lock the diff with JB-Weld;
I prefer the Tamiya diff-locker that is included in the Pajero Gear set (G parts, 9005422).
You can install/remove without permanently welding parts together.

The diff-lockers are the round pieces towards the bottom of this pic:
