I'm pretty sure that highwayracer has one for sale. His was the R&R hobbies version made by Jim Dieter before he joined trinity.

I'll ask him to send you pictures

I'm the only person who could start a thread and break the 4 year mark without a response. I just need more time... Nice try though.

Any word on whether Jim Dieter or the other guy still have one for sale or not. I have one but it needs parts...very fast and famous back when Trinity was the Motor King and Twister was right alongside.

I'm pretty sure Dieter isn't selling anything.

I do happen to have a have a collection of NIP Titan TXO chassis, prototype white nylon parts and pieces—about 90% of a complete car, though. It's about as original as it gets and needs only a few odd Trinity Reflex parts to complete. My collection would need a little bit of hand work to finish, but it also contains a NIP Twister/Premier Stealth Wedge and Losi fl. red logo wheels for foams. ;)

FWIW, nothing on the Reflex was injection molded, except for the A&L steering linkage. It used machined Delrin or nylon arms, mount blocks, gearbox and most other parts that were not taken from another manufacturer (like the Robinson inclined kingpin setup).

What I meant was I'm restoring my Reflex so any parts you guys may know to be available would be greatly appreciated. From what I can tell, the Reflex has parts that look to be molded such as the front/rear arms, the rear mounting hinge blocks. I know the original design was from a car known as the Titan before Jim Dieter took it to Trinity and renamed it. The Titan had many white delrin parts that were machined. Other parts that seem to be barrowed were the telescoping rear axles from the JRX-2, rear hub carriers from the JRX-2, all four mini shocks from Delta (Custom Works did have them too on their cars). At any rate, I think if I can somehow hook the extra gear case I have laying around to my Tamiya Frog, that would totally make it a different car.

The arms and mount blocks on the Reflex were all machined, just like the Titan.

All of the nylon parts were machined with the exception for the A&L bell cranks and the Robinson front castor blocks and spindles. As you stated, the rear hub carriers were from the losi as well as rear toe in adjusters. The toe in pieces were the front aluminum axles from the jr...which was just shortened a bit. The rear diff was from a schumacher.

My titan has aluminum bulkheads (4 blocks that hold the front and rear arms)...which the previous owner made after breaking one of the fronts.

Like a lot of us that scratchbuild, Jim probably used as many "standard" parts as he could to build his car...and had the other components custom built. He ran a losi and a CAT back in the day, so his choice of parts did not surprise me.

I put a truck conversion with a stealth on my titan until the track "outlawed" it because they said it was a car converted into a truck. It didn't matter there there were a number of gold pans running...they just didn't like the fact that the truck was winning. This led me to build my own truck specifically for that track: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3621

Regards,
highwayracer
