custom aluminum 210mm wb chassis Tamiya m05/ hpi

Another 210mm w/b narrow chassis. This is my 3rd one with the goal to be able to get the fattest tires inside the wheel wells.
I went with a simple rear suspension set up consisting of a straight axle and a single shock attached to the transmission that allows the trans assembly to pivot up & down. The front has adjustable toe, camber, caster and track width. JR mini servo for the steering, Exceed Rocket kv2850 outrunner motor, 60a esc, rc4wd transmission, hpi vintage 26mm front & 31mm 8 spoke wheels and tires. The shocks are left over Losi 1/16" that will get replaced. The battery sits in the chassis, the esc sits on the trans.
I made this to fit the Team Bluegroove VW bus. It was a tight fit on the HPI Mini Cooper with 26mm wheels & tires on the rear, and it would need spacers to move the wheels out on the HPI Porsche rsr.

Very cool mix of parts. What body do you intend to use on it?

The Team Bluegroove bus body. Wish I could find a double cab or single cab body.

I think someone local to me was making the single/double cab bodies. Remind me if you dont hear from me in a day or 2.

"PumpkinBus" team blue groove vw bus body 210mm wheel base. Stickers/decals are left over from the hpi porsche rsr and the hpi mini cooper. I used the window frames from the mini cooper. The front turn signals are from the porsche rsr.

That a great looking body. I like the idea of using a crawler trans for your build.
