Custom Works Dominator Resto
So here is the Dominator I snagged on ebay. It's dirty and missing some parts but I'm happy with it.
Spent a little while this morning tearing it down. Found some more pieces that are cracked and will need to be replaced, such as the castor blocks and knuckles.
So that's where it's at for now.

Looks like a darn good start! Sucks that it's missing pieces. Are you going to use a slider for the steering? One of mine had that and it was a slick setup but never found out if it was ever an original upgrade or was simply added

I honestly don't know if it ever came with the slider. As far as I know that was Intimidator and Enforcer only. I'm pretty sure all of the stock steering pieces can still be purchased for CW though.

I know they didn't originally wasn't sure if they made an official option part or if some point late production one was used.

that one looks like the one that went awhile back for about half that price right down to the pictures. Plenty of spare tires for sure and RJ has all the money in the world so it'll fit right in to his collectiontamiyadan wrote:there is a nice one on the bay right now

Hah!!! If that were the case my Fairlane would have been up to scratch over a year ago instead of slogging it out week to week with it.klavy69 wrote:Plenty of spare tires for sure and RJ has all the money in the world so it'll fit right in to his collectiontamiyadan wrote:there is a nice one on the bay right now

Since you probably have so many and you'd like to donate one I'll look after it

Re: Custom Works Dominator Resto
At the end of their production, they had the slider steering and no holes for the bellcrank parts. They also used a lexan battery holder that only held 6 cells instead of 7 like the intimidator. There where no cut outs or slots for the battery. It sat on top of the chassis. I have a new built dominator that was one of the last made.

Re: Custom Works Dominator Resto
I have a whole chassis in parts and most probably a full steering setup. Let me know if you need anything.
