The place to go when it doesn't fit anywhere else.

I wasn't in love with it at first, but after some motor/pinion changes and some good tires, I was doing well with it.

I've been digging around the net for a while now trying to find out all I can about the Ryuz FF buggy (which after reading a lot of this stuff is really called a Kanda). I found a couple of interesting Japenese websites with more pictures and details. It's a bit of a rough read even with Google Translate, but still very interesting.

Heres a link to more detailed pictures of the buggy. http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/nikonfejp/30794178.html

This one is about the Rabbit Racing Team which came up with alot of the FF buggies at the time. http://www.rabbit-racing.jp/aboutme.html

I hope somoene tries to reproduce a kit like this since I have no skills what so ever in this area. I would be in for one.

A young guy in the netherlands has made a kit to build one. You need a durango buggy as donor for the remaining parts.
Orb design. He has a thread in the "I made this" section in the forum at oople.com.
Expensive but designed and build with todays knowledge.

How about this one?

Not exactly vintage, but a Tamiya FF03 converted to offroad. I saw an old thread where a member here, Bloodclod, tried to duplicate it, but none of the pictures are working so I can't see the result.

Any idea what body that is?

Bloodclod's design was not a reproduction of this converted FF03. He made his own inspired on cars like the Kanda.
It was real nice. Pitty the pics don't work anymore.
I think he posted about the car on clodtalk or/and oople too. Maybe you can find pics there.

A wild guess on that body: something from team izarashi

I pretty much begged the guy who made that replica to make a few more and sell them (one for me of course), but he would'nt. He said it's too expensive and takes too much time. Bummer.

You guys are late to the party. :P That guy, T-Custom, is a member here now, his Ryuz replica won the latest Build of the Month contest:
