...I had hoped it would be the old Batmobile kit that was advertised in Radio Control Car Action back in the late 1990s.

Yeah right? Didn't that thing have turbine engine or some such? Pretty sure it was the "Keatonator" Batmobile.

Made the cover, lots of purple.

I thought this thread was going to be about the RichMan's Toys one.

I like that the one in the video has a smoke generator. It's funny how the term '1/10th scale' is now more or less just a meaningless buzz word. Actually, scales are pretty much meaningless these days since R/C vehicles now come in every size and shape imaginable.

Yeah, that's the one. It's pretty crazy that you can still buy them! I think they were first introduced to coincide with the Batman movie back in 1989.

I am good friends with the RCCARKINGS guys. About 6 months ago they said there is less than 50 left of them remaining in stock. They got them all when the original company sold off inventory decades ago. Makes me wonder how many they started with. I should ask them next time I talk to them.

Talked to the RCCarKings guys today. Better get your old school Batmobile quick. Only 10 left now.
They said they originally had 100 complete kits already boxed and then had all the parts for another 300 when they bought the remaining inventory way back when.
