Where did you get the shock collars?
These were machined a year or two ago by a member here. I'm just no longer sure who made them.

Now sitting as a full roller waiting for the rest of the electronics. Not so sure about the servo used so I'll go for an early standard Futaba one. Yesterday I noticed the ESC switch is not the original one that came with the Novak but can't bring myself to change that. I will have to be creative on the antenna mount as well.

Thanks! Although perfection will only be approached here :)

Here is the beautifully painted body I got from Doug (Squarehead design) years ago along with the wing, window netting from HotShot and Tamiya SRB driver. There will be some homework to complete this!

These are the cool projects I enjoy seeing to the end.
You should anodize the front shock collars gold.

Turning out to be flawless. This could certainly be the nicest resto/build ever?

Thanks! I will definitely anodise the front shock collars!

I know, I could have used a scratched chassis and front kick-up. Dirt mmmh maybe not :-)

I don't know, Ruffy made two of these before me and they look very accurate as well. He even managed to fill in the holes in the motor plate and the one in the front kick-up plate and have it all re anodised afterwards. Something I plan to do as well, just have to find someone who could solder aluminium. Front screw holes should be countersunk too and AE logo will have to be made bare aluminium. The rear of the chassis also has some differences like rounded corners and lower mounting point of the motor plate! Many many small details to address to make it really accurate!

Thank you Anthony, I'm on a roll these days. Next might be my long awaited MIP 4wd project.

The plate and chassis will need to be welded with 5xxx aluminum alloy in order to reanodize gold. I think it looks phenomenal, glad to see those towers finally in use!

Thanks mate, isn't the tub of 6000 series alloy? Why would you rather recommend 5000 series? Easier to weld?

Not to derail, but some may have missed it. Ruffy's 2010 thread covers almost everything regarding building an amazing Box Art Replica.
