Aha! Thanks. That is probably it because it looks just like this one that I googled using your references:

The next question is, is there any use I can make of this for my regular RC10? I already have a proper white case stealth for it, but I'd like to think there was _something_ I can do with this t2/b2/b3/t3

you can modify your gold pan to accept this trans, however you will end up modifying such that it will be hard to revert back to the original stealth or 6 gear. It can be done but it's up to you to decide.

alternatively, you could end up trading this for original stealth parts or other items you need to complete your car.

thanks for the info. i don't think i want to modify my gold pan in that way... especially since i already have the right stealth for it to begin with.

from where you sit, can you tell if there's any market or desirability for these t2b2t3b3 trannies?

they are like any other rc part. if the right buyer comes along, it will be sold. they have value for sure, it's not like it's junk, but certainly not unobtanium. best way to gauge is to look at open and complete ebay auctions to get a feel for high and low sales.

Great work! I have started my own collection up to the B3. You can't only build one! It's an addiction ;)

Thanks, It's an ongoing project. I am still working on updating the newer cars from the B2 on. Speaking of ... my favourite would be the B2! But I have a soft spot for all of them!

Nice write up. Great to see the history.

Odd though, my championship edition with original tranny did not come with a body. I ended up with a Sidewinder body on it. Not sure if it was a really short run with no body or why I ended up with something slightly different.

The basic kits came without body and electronics. Did yours have a motor and speed control?

It had the wiper style speed control pictured here. No motor though.

Out of the box it either came with both motor and speed control (and body) or it didn't. If it came with no body or motor but had a speed control, the hobby shop was borrowing parts

That's really surprising considering it was from tower hobbies and had the seal intact on the box. :(

None of the kit numbers included that option, maybe tower had a weird deal going but associated didn't sell it that way with a part number attached

Did tower sell TQ10's back in the day? And your " here" is a 10t in the pic.
