I used to have this memorized, but it has been too long and I have forgotten what it was back then.
:?:

The CF parts I actually designed and made myself one evening working late at Composite Craft, back in the 1991-1992 timeframe. Designed them, then programmed the CNC equipment for them to be cut. The AE logo is actually cut into the rear tower by programming the quill to drop part way through the material with a very sharp endmill. They were fun to make.

I think it was 3.25lbs at that time. That's down from the previous 3.5lbs

Ruffy, It is awesome to know you took that bad boy out to the track again. Love it.
Hey I have the same ESP on my runner, my favorite all time ESC. What lipo did you use with it and how did it feel compare to the old time racing?
:D

Felt awesome!
The LiPo I have is a 5000mAh 40C ThunderPower pack. Works great!
I ran with some of my old sanyo nicads prior to it, and it felt about the same. My old nicads even went 6 min with no drop-off noticeable...granted it is a small indoor track so its' not like you need a lot of power. I ran the Mr. M motor you see there in the pictures, a mild 13 double from history.

Thanks Kenooze, but I am so rusty, I'm just happy to stay out of the way!

I was reminded today that I had not posted pictures of the "B2 Instruction Manual" sent to me with the 1st B2's sent out, as I had promised. So I took a few minutes and spread some of the images out with some of the sheets.
I hope these are good enough.
Enjoy! :D

I'll try and get around to scanning this weekend, but there is nothing of any importance in the letters. It is simply a rough, very shortened version of how to put together what we got and what to look for, but it is honestly nothing special. One of the sheets is a "beginning setup" for us to start with since this was a new car that Cliff had tested quite a bit, and he offered an "initial setup" only to start our voyage on setting it up for ourselves, depending on track conditions, tires and quality of surface.
I'm not sure who's hand or car that is in those pictures either.

Here's an old photo shown in both the 1997 competition plus for April in Black & White and in the Gene Husting Videos in Volume 27 of the Associated pit with me talking to a friend of mine who passed away some years ago due to cancer.

Just wanted to add a magazine article scan from Radio Race Car in Europe from October 1993 on the 1993 IFMAR World's that was sent to me by the man that bought my 4WD Sponsored Kyosho Lazer car that I ran at the Nat's and World's, and is shown alongside a few other Associated and other Team Driver's cars. Mine is the 2nd from the end in the 1st page picture, the #10 car. I believe this was just before the start of one of our qualifying rounds.
Other cars here in my qualifier are Jack Johnson, Brian Kinwald, Billy Easton as well as many other very top notch world class drivers.
Here are the 1st two pages of the article, but I will add the entire magazine scans sent to me from the Netherlands in our scans section.

Thanks for an awesome thread Ruffy, it's brought back a lot of memories!
I ran at the Reedy race held as a warm up there for the worlds, although there was nothing warm about it :)

I wish I still had my Associated T shirts, if only someone could get replicas done!

awesome thread Ruffy. Makes me miss racing at the Ranch. I always shy'd away from running nationals (or higher), but kinda regret it now. Maybe if they come back by the west coast, I will give it a shot.

Cool thread Ruffy. Thanks a lot for your contribution on RC10talk. Very much appreciated!
Can you post a few pictures of the motor that is mounted on your RC10? A pink Sonic.
Thanks
